Change shipping address?

I'm having a lot of issues with changing the address for my order. I called in yesterday AM while my order was processing but I was on hold with a dropped call, then on hold again and in the process the order converted to preparing for shipment. When I finally talked to someone they said they would but in a request and it should be fixed by shipment. Now I'm nervous it's going to ship to another state where I no longer live. Has anyone had luck redirecting a iPhone package last year.

If it ships via UPS and you have UPS MyChoice (recommended) then you can reroute packages for a fee. I think it's $5

Yea, I guess it could be that you are paid in full and not under AT&T contract. I did the AT&T NEXT plan thus the shipping address change had to be done manually by the back office shipping department. The rep reassured me that the change would go through within 24-48 hours and that I would receive an email confirmation once the change goes through. We shall see.
 
I tried on chat the first time, they said they couldn't do it. I tried calling and the first time they said they couldn't do it and then called again right after and they said they could do it by putting the new address in and that will let the shipping team know. She said that when I receive my tracking #, it'll mention some error about a wrong address and that's because it's referring to the old default address. It's rather silly how we can't just change the shipping address at checkout. I paid for the phone outright, AT&T should have nothing to do with this.

I changed my shipping addy to my work today. AT&T 128gb matte black 7+ paid in full via the Apple Store app at 2:11am central time.

I forgot to mention that I received an email confirmation afterward and the addy change is reflected in my orders within the Apple Store.

The issue is with people who are signed up with the Apple Upgrade Program through the Citizens Bank loan. Apple has some stupid contract with them that they cannot change the shipping address once an order is placed. Issue is dumb Apple gets the shipping info from the AT&T primary account holder. I am now stuck with my phone getting shipped to another state and the only thing apple tells me I can do over the phone is have it shipped from my moms house to mine.
 
Apparently it depends on the actual specialist that you talk to. I talked to someone over the chat and he told me he can't change it because it's preparing for shipment. I told him about this forum like some of you guys did but he said it's not Apple so basically he's saying he doesn't care. I said is there any way to cancel or contact the shipping company and he said no. So basically he's saying I'm screwed.
 
Earlier in the day I contacted Apple to expedite the shipping on my order, but I as also told that I can contact the said phone number to change my shipping address. Not sure if it will work, but Ive tried twice over chat and no luck.

Did you buy your phone or are you on a budgeted purchase lease type plan where you have to trade it in?

Yeah, you can only do it online or via phone call depending on your situation.

That is good to hear. Confirms what I was told when I changed the shipping address.

Or just have your parents send you the phone after they receive.

Nothing in MyChoice and still haven't update the address as they promised.... I have a feeling it's going to the wrong place for sure now.

No, it was processing but now it's preparing and still no change.
 
My shipping address hasn't changed yet. The rep said it should be updated within 24-48 hours which I think equates to 1-2 business days. Order status is preparing for shipment. I plan on calling tonight for an update.

I see you tried via chat to change your shipping addy. Chat does not work, it's an online option to change your shipping addy although it's not popping up for some people so it appears after reading this forum and trying tO help,with my friend's order. Have you tried calling them? You may need to ask for a supervisor. A friend/coworker of mine got her addy swapped while she was on the phone with them. It's just a pain in the arse wait and getting pushed off to diffrent people from what I hear. My friend did it by phone and they tried to tell her it couldn't be done. She insisted that it could, she also paid out right. She was told it couldn't be done as her order was showing up as a guest and not through her account which I believe to be bull as I saw her logged in and it showing her order. Anyways after 1hr and 10 mins on the phone it was updated with them.

Same situation here, let us know what you find out. I really don't trust that they are going to correct it in time. I did receive an odd email from Apple saying they received my request to update my order and that they would update me when completed but that was 12 hrs ago now.

Why didn't you update it when you moved or at least check it before you ordered??

Well, I called last night and they reassured me that the shipping address change is still in process. I did not get an odd email from Apple. It's just wait and see it this point.
 
Apparently my shipping address change is still in process, but the tracking number was picked up in UPS My Choice with delivery from Shanghai, China to my home address, not my request to my work address. My order status is preparing for shipment. At this point, it's probably too late for Apple to change the shipping address. I can change the delivery address in My Choice, but only to a neighbor. That's not going to work, so I'll have to make arrangements to be at home on Friday. Other options are pickup package at a UPS location or delivery my package on another day. Or can we still pre-sign for shipments?

I ordered an iPhone 7 128 gig in Jet Black AT&T fully unlocked. It's Wednesday morning and it still says "Preparing for Shipment" when it had a delivery date of 9/16. Has anyone received a tracking number?

Per my post above, my order status is still Preparing for Shipment, but I found the tracking number in UPS My Choice.
