Hi,

I am looking at buying the HP USB-C dock and it has "average operating power" at 55 Watt, but with a max of 62 Watt. Since it might dip under 61 (the wattage on my charger), I was wondering:
If I find that the dock does not charge the Mac at 61 (due to me using two external displays with the dock, and several demanding applications running), will it potentially ruin the Mac if I connect the original charger in another port?

I know it usually only draws as much as it should (i.e. no problem using a 85W charger with the MacBook only needing 61W), but will it still do that if I charge through two of my USB-C ports? And will it usually be sufficient with 55W for the MBP?

Thanks!
