That does align with the "peek" in the event "slogan".
We are getting to look at something.. a peek at a new display.

My thoughts too...I like the old LED Cinema Display that had all that integrated (less clutter on the desk).Hopefully with a built-in webcam and speakers.
Now the "real" question is when it will be available to customers. I'm imagining at WWDC probably, or maybe July. That does align with the "peek" in the event "slogan".

Ahhh you must be single. Enjoy it. Once you're in a relationship get ready to justify a lot of your purchases with your own money lol. Why? You don't have your own money?
Hmmm I wonder if that means the price also won't be revealed until then. I don't think the Pro Display XDR's pricing came out until well after its WWDC 2019 reveal, so perhaps something similar here. Now the "real" question is when it will be available to customers. I specifically wrote “appreciate” and not “see” the difference between 4k and 5k. A vast majority of people won’t care if it’s 1080p or 5k for something like using Office, they just want to get their work done on a decent monitor.I'm a "non-professional" and I can see the difference between 6K and 5K and 4K amongst all the Apple screens. It's a really obvious difference, even if you're just a guy using Office (like me).
In the past, it has been revealed at WWDC. So, does that also mean the Apple Silicon Mac Pro will be revealed alongside the new ProDisplay XDR?Hmmm I wonder if that means the price also won't be revealed until then. Yep, I agree with this. Mac Studio and Studio Display.Mac Studio is definitely confirmed then. I mean why would Apple introduce a standalone monitor without a headless Mac?
And have a feeling that Mac Studio will be THE higher end Mac mini, replacing the current high end Intel Mac mini.
Yeah, I agree, it makes sense, but at the same time, I wish the next Mac mini is still on its way.Mac Studio is definitely confirmed then. I mean why would Apple introduce a standalone monitor without a headless Mac?

I still use my Thunderbolt Display as a second monitor for my 16in M1 Pro. Still a great screen and the speakers aren't bad, it's just the ports are outdated. I hope the new monitor has speakers and ports as well.My Apple Thunderbolt monitor is excited to see retirement.
The successor of the Thunderbolt Display. I'm really excited. Finally, all people heard about was a followup to the XDR display and a $5K price tag. A new 27" display priced at $1K is within reason to most of us mere mortals.
This will be the 27” iMac
Apple's long-awaited consumer-level display, reportedly set to be called the "Studio Display," will launch tomorrow during Apple's "Peek Performance" event, according to a new rumor from YouTuber Luke Miani.

In a video showcasing renders alleged to be the upcoming "Mac Studio," Miani also shares renders of the "Studio Display." According to the YouTuber who has an unverified track record when it comes to sharing Apple's plans, the display will measure 27-inches in size with slightly larger bezels than the Pro Display XDR and no rear pattern. The renders show a design similar to Apple's 24-inch iMac, but with a black front bezel and without any visible external ports, although one port would be required for connecting to a computer.

Yesterday, renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said he expects Apple to release a consumer-level display in a 27-inch size without mini-LED this year, and if today's rumor turns out to be true, it'll launch as soon as tomorrow. Today's rumor sheds no light on the potential price of the display, but a price tag around $1,000 seems reasonable given its rumored specifications.
Apple's event will kick off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Tuesday, March 8. In addition to being streamed on YouTube, the event can also be watched through the events webpage and in the Apple TV app. If you're unable to watch, you can tune in to MacRumors on the site or through our MacRumorsLive Twitter account. Honestly the price of 4K TVs right now is low. Find a nice 42” 4K tv.I'm using a 32" ips 4k monitor the last 3 years (coding and usual stuff like simple video/image editing, browsing etc) and it feels so small right now. I'm in the market for a 40+ monitor now so I'm bit disappointed with 27".
I just went through deciding the future of my monitor set-up and decided on 2 monitors rather than 1 big one. The 27 inches is fine for me, but a $2000 price tag is a non-starter.I'm using a 32" ips 4k monitor the last 3 years (coding and usual stuff like simple video/image editing, browsing etc) and it feels so small right now. I think you can hook up the PD XDR to a PC, you just don't get brightness control and scaling options. So I'm imagining it's the same deal with the Studio Display.Any chance we'll be able to hook it up to a PC?
