yeah mine kicked off and the time bounced around (ipad 3) OTA then it failed after 20 minutes - it fails almost every time after 1 minute or so...

It took about 20 minutes to download OTA. I am now onto preparing update. iPhone 4S.

same here. this update is pushing 1 hour total for me after 2 error messages. 3rd time got me to preparing update but now just waiting for the last bit of it to finish which hasn't moved in nearly 10 minutes.

Started trying the update at 1:01 and got nothing until about 1:08 pm here in Asheville. I was not in a reliable cell signal area so I waited until I got back to the office, hit Download and Install at approximately 1:15 and it's still Preparing Update..... There is only a tiny bit left to update but it's been saying Preparing Update for almost a half hour now so I'm a little worried.

Downloading iTunes 10.7 now, and then doing restore and update to 6 with my 4S.

I would do OTA, but I am jailbroken.

Is iOS6 worth losing the jailbreak? I haven't updated yet, so I still have time to change my mind lol.

My Ipad updated through itunes, but now the ipad is just sitting there with the apple and the progress bar on screen not showing any movement. According to itunes the update is finished.

Both iPad & iPhone are now done for me. No error's or glitches unlike when I updated to version 5. So I'll have to say good job Apple.
