I'd switch from my iPhone 6 to this one in a heartbeat.

Of all previous iPhone form factors that I owned, iPhone 6 is the only one that frustrates me. Even after a year of daily usage it's still awkward to use with one hand on the go. I can feel it in my pocket when walking upstairs or sitting down to tie shoe laces. Makes me regret upgrading - Every - Single - Time - this happens. Ugh. 5S had perfect size for me.
I've gotten used to the larger form factor of the 6, but if it didn't have Reachability I wouldn't even blink an eye at switching back to a 4" phone. I still believe that's the perfect size even though I'm pretty well adjusted to 4.7" now.

I agree with this, as a 6+ owner. I love the screen size to browse the net, but something is just not comfortable for me.

It's not so much the size what drives me crazy, but the typing grip: After a whole year I still make MANY more typo's on my iPhone 6+ than I ever made on my iPhone 4 or 5. I don't know if it's the small keyboard, or the travel distance, or the rounded edges, or whatever the heck, but I just can't find a comfortable grip (one or two hands) on this thing :(

That being said... I must admit that I am not ready to give up on screen size for a better typing grip. I just love this screen too much!

For phone calls and texts: yes!

Never use Swift Key before?

The camera broke on my iPhone 5, this thing can't come quick enough!

I have a feeling my 18-year old daughter is going to be in the same boat. Even though her phone is dying, she is reluctant to give up the form factor. She's 5'1 with tiny hands. She's tried my wife's 6s a few times and feels like she couldn't use it with one hand on the go.

She keeps holding out hope for a 4 inch model, but no luck so far. I think she'd honestly be happy with a 64 gig 5s right now...but you can't buy one new.

I think she's going to end up getting a 6s. But if they build a 4 inch model with 64 gig and Apple Pay, she's all over it.

PORSCHE showed that "small" does not mean cheap or "low price point"> In fact, the original Apple computer was....small...

I resent having this huge iPhone 6s: I can't use one hand with it. I miss my 5......
I want a full feature SMALL iPhone Screen Shot 2015-11-23 at 1.18.19 PM.jpg

Amen. I'm 6'2 and have big hands and the 6 is too big for 1-hand use...

My 5s is looking cooler and cooler. Does everything I need it to do. The new one has to really step it up for me to "upgrade"

"Upgrade" being the specific thing. If it's a cheaper looking smaller 6, then that's not an upgrade for me.

Same here. If the only upgrades this have is being slightly faster (My 5S is plenty fast) and supporting Apple Pay (not available where I live, nor a solution I think Id rely on anyways due to Apples less than stellar batteries), then I dont see any reason to upgrade. It would at least have to support 3D touch for me to consider.

Ive had every single iPhone up until the 5S, which I still have. The "upgrades" since then really hasn't been all that appealing.

I plan to upgrade my iPhone 5S with an iPhone 6C mainly because I want Apple Pay support. I very much hope it will also support 3D Touch but I'll buy it just to get Apple Pay support, 801.11ac, LTE Advanced, the A9 chip, the motion coprocessor, and improved cameras.

I have absolutely no use, need, or desire to get a 4.7" phablet. I already have an iPad Air for when I want a two-handed device.

4.7 isn't a phablet. It's a small phone.

Phablets don't even exist. Even the bigger phones are nowhere near the smaller tablets.

Brilliant (except for the fact that it took them this long). There is a large segment of the market that likes their 4' phone. Not to mention maybe they just believed Apple when Apple said bigger than 4' was just too big. This will be a huge seller with minimal development costs.

If it's not as powerful as the upcoming iPhone 7 why bother? If size is all you care about just get a 5S.

Nothing for sale in April 2016 will be as powerful as the upcoming (insert phone here). Sometimes you just need a new phone and it doesn't happen to be November yet. It's not like April is one month from the new model. Plus for most people there is a 4-6 week wait before they can get the newest model anyway.

Why wouldn't it? My 5S is only a few months old and it's very fast on iOS 9. I personally see no need to upgrade yet.

Pay. That's the sole reason I would upgrade. For some people it's not an issue, so I agree the 5S is still a fantastic phone -- probably too good for Apple's tastes, which may partially explain this rumor.

Edit: also, some features my carrier won't support on the 5S like wifi calling.

4.5 months away and no parts leaks? How likely can that be?

Because the case is machine tooled, the screens are already being produced for the 5S and iPod Touch, the components are likely mostly the same as the 6 and 6S. All they have to do essentially is press the button and start making the new one.

me too, I plan to switch my 6S to a 6C! It's too big, too heavy and even too thick.
I don't use 3D touch that much, although it's nice.

I hope the 6C has the same camera, good battery life and the new id touch. Then I'll switch in a NY minute.
Really don't care about what's inside for the rest.
