only getting $5 off with the 50offyoobaosp code, hmm. I had the screen protector and a $35 yoobao in the cart and the code gave me only $5 off.

Anyone else seeing a sudden increase in price? It was $32 last night and today it's $60 & refuses any coupon codes.

I don't know about the codes but yeah the prices went back up to their original levels. The wheat case looked really nice for $45-$50 but I'm definitely not paying $90.

$90???Wow! It's almost like the seller is monitoring these threads and puts the price up when he sees the positive reviews and the prospect of more orders coming in??

I suppose if you want a style like the wheat case you could get the textured leather case which is the same thing and it's $50 but, at least for me, I've had so many leather products it just seems boring now.

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm kind of leery now about ordering from him now. I can understand a price hike of a few dollars here and there, but going to almost double the cost of what it was just 12 hours ago??? The case is nice, but I don't think on the quality level of Manufacturers whose products sell steadily in the higher price range, and whose costs don't "adjust" on such a significant level overnight.

Does the Chinao vaja clone have magnetic closure? How does its weight compare to other cases?

Got the (fake) leather version of the vaja clone (in dark brown) from the seller who can not be named, and I like it a lot but there is one serious flaw

http://db.tt/IfKbSVF

You cant really tell in the picture, but the 'leather' is getting loose right at the 'edge' where the front flap can be folded.
Not really sure if I can somehow get some glue under there, but it's quite annoying :/

It does have a magnet for auto sleep/wake but are you asking if a magnet will keep the lid closed? All the magnet does is activate sleep/wake. By the way the Vaja does the same thing... if I hold the Vaja case upside down the magnet isn't strong enough to hold the lid on.

Weight comparison:
Vaja Libretto 10.0 oz
Chinao simulated leather Vaja clone 7.3 oz
Chinao leather Vaja clone 10.8 oz

Wheat case arrived.

I just broke down and bought the wheat case.

I received my Chinao wheat case today; I absolutely LOVE it!.:D I had originally ordered it to provide the extra protection I need for travelling, but it looks so fabulous, I might just make this my primary case. (I also have the Rivet, Vaja style case, which looks good, but does not protect the corners as well).
The quality and the color of this wheat leather is really gorgeous, holes line up perfectly, so far no negatives I can think of, even though the back flap is something different to what I am used to.
Highly recommended!

Could you please post some real pics, this case looks interesting but you know how manufactures pictures always look better.
Thanks

Pictures of the Chinao Wheat case. The color appears somewhat distorted by the camera; it's actually prettier "in person". I love how small the bezel is, how little of the white iPad frame it covers. The quality of the leather is really fabulous:

Nice pics lauren. I had actually put off the idea of getting the case altogether but now I'm starting to consider it again especially since it doesn't cover up as much of the frame as my current Casecrown.

On an unrelated note, was there a discount code of some sort in the thread that got deleted? I can't remember anymore.

How stable is it in the upright landscape mode?
Rock solid in the upright position.:D

I highly recommend the case. The discount code I think was for the yoobao screen protector, but honestly I do not remember. There is one other really nice feature. The black microfibre on the inside does not attract any lint;I've had it on the sofa, in bed with my fluffy dogs and blanket, and it does not have anything adhered to it. This is a really big deal for me, as this issue has annoyed me with other cases.
Overall, I am totally impressed with this case!:)

One last question as I am torn between this and the Yoobao ver 3. Is the leather soft like the Yoobao cases or Is it a little stiffer. I like thin cases but wanted a leather that offered a bit more protection than the Yoobao case that I originally had did. If that makes any sense?

Actually I'm confused on the color now. On the product page the 'Color' drop down only lists Dark Wheat so is that different from what's shown in the product photos? Lauren, when you ordered did you select that dark wheat color or did you leave the box alone?

I have the Yoobao folio case as well. The leather of The Wheat case is a lot "firmer" and definitely provides more protection. The corners are also more sturdy than the Yoobao. However, it still has the very thin profile which is essential for me. I love the slim design of the iPad 2 and did not want to detract from that by adding bulk.

Hhmmmm........ I did not notice an option for a dark wheat color. Mine is "Item #: CPLIP2-WHEAT". I only saw a color choice in the Chinao Vaja clone (leather), which is a different style.
