We get it, you are more into android than iPhone and that's fine since it's your personal choice but respect others and take your rambling elsewhere. Only people with androids I know are girls and I've tried every phone on the market and still love my iPhone 4. Back on topic, hope the Unlock for iPhone 4 gets released any day now finally. Is it hard to sim cut a tmobile sim card to micro size to fit in an ip4?
It's easy to cut it. There's a template online or you can purchase a sim card cutter tool. I've used both methods.

You're suffering a daydream Apple is sharing right now... just like they did in the 80s... just because a product has been successful, and is successful, doesn't mean the competition isn't going to try and steal your marketshare. I'm NOT an android user (tho I have one, i still prefer iphone),and my 3 household computers are MAC, so I'm CERTAINLY qualified to give opinions on MAC since I'm 100% mac.
The mere fact that people respond "I can do all that as long as I jailbreak" which apple just asked the government to stop, proves my point that things are going in the wrong direction.

She doesn't speak w/o truth on some of her posts... These things are happening. Every time a friend of mine comes up with a new update, like froyo, I start to look on what things I can do to my iphone....
This jailbreak crap with apple is getting annoying. As of now... W/O a jailbreak, for me... the iphone is USELESS! The first month or a couple of weeks I had the iphone 4 without the jailbreak it was "horrible". I started to see if i could reactivate my 3gs again.
And if it's the way they are saying that mostly rooting/jailbreaking Android is to install pirated apps, well... Then they have a good thing going on, since all of the goodies are "available" and no need for jailbreaking then... For gods sake, you can download pdanet from the market!!!! How freakingly cool it would be if we could download mywi from the app store!!!!
Jailbreaking is becoming harder and harder... and if there are Software engineers that are getting PAYED regularly to patch the holes, it'll get to a point where hobby hackers will NOT cut it anymore. That is why I try to stress for people to DONATE... Geohot, as much as some people hate him, is a pretty good coder and a genius for this, that most of "us"(although I know I didn't) blew away... And now what? Where are the jailbreaks on a regular basis? What good incentive is there for Comex to deal hours and hours trying to find a hole and to do coding for what? for the "good" of the community? Once you get to your goals, what other incentive is there?
Android is catching up and if the power users like myself and some others move to android, they will start moving a lot of people that perceive us as gadget people and trend makers and movers... I have lost count HOW MANY iphones I have sold to friends... If there is no jailbreak for the i5, I wont bother with it until there is one... If it comes out 4 months later, I might have moved to a different phone architecture.
While this user's grammar, spelling, and comments are annoying, he\she is correct. I wouldn't have an iPhone 4 if I were unable to jailbreak it unless Apple enabled some things out of the box.

I loved my iPhone before the jb but now that I have completely customized my phone I can't imagine going back.
I don't get why the dev team doesnt have more support. I donated but with millions of jb phones that is millions of dollars spent on tweaks. I spent 60 in cydia
This is no longer just a hobby. It's a multimillion dollar business and should be run as one. I have to admit all of the trouble finding a unteatherd jb has got me worried. Am I wasting my money on cydia apps?

So u gotta jb to get some options, not a big deal to some people and that's optional. No one says anything when buying a Pc & having to buy anti-virus software or anything else. Same thing applies to furniture, vehicles and such. I'm happy with my iPhone 4 out the box and instead of waiting on an unlock for tmobile I just went pre-paid with at&t instead. Sell your phone, pay the difference and get what u want, wait it out but don't go on a rampage about it. You purchased the phone and got yourself into this. Jb's & unlocks come free.
You did not say which phone did he buy. The answer is yes if he bought a 3G, or old bootrom 3GS. No, if it is new bootrom 3GS or the 4.

Just because I jailbreak doesn't mean I'm satisfied with my phone. I only jailbreak for minor tweaks and an occasional use of MyWi but I love my iPhone 4.
I love my iPhone 4 too. I just wish it was a better phone. And even though people say antenna-gate is a myth, I can 100% of the time, lose all service if I bridge the bottom corner with even the lightest touch.
I always say it's a great smart device, but horrible phone. I can't walk into any building larger than a house and expect to get service. Nor can I go anywhere outside of my city's limits (except along the interstate). At least for me, it's all or nothing at all. I get 3G in 99% of where I am actually getting service, but when you cross the magical line, there is nothing.
To be fair, that is really more about the service where I live. Verizon is king here (they bought out the local Alltel hub), and if you live where I live, you can get perfect Verizon service no matter where you are. At the same time, I know I have traveled 50 miles to the east in a bigger city (not that I live in a podunk town. 300,000+), and it's been the exact reverse and AT&T is perfect.
Does the forum's ignore software auto-edit out their posts if other people quote them? If not, then most likely anything interesting that they say will be quoted.

This. I mainly just want SBSettings - sometimes the wifi at work acts like @#% and it's nice to be able to swipe and toggle. That an reskinning, but that's it.
I feel the same way. I can still cripple my phone and my girlfriend who just got her iphone 4 2 weeks ago can be crippled with one finger. I'm not complaining that it's ruining my life, just stating a fact. I'm glad someone is man enough to admit it.
Why thank you sir. SBSettings is probably one of these most downloaded jb apps because of the great functionality and simplicity it provides the user. Of course it's one of the main reasons I jailbreak but I can definitely live without it.
If it was as useless and 'horrible' as you say, why didn't you return it and get your money back? That's what any logical trend-setting 'power user' would have done! Sounds like you're more of a trend follower than a trend setter!
Sorry to be a little OT, but I read that the Monte jb is being ported to 4.1 IPSW. Now this is good since that would eliminate the need of 4.2b3 IPSW pirating. But would it also eliminate the need of 4.2b3 SHSH blobs? If yes, then would be need 4.1 blobs or no blobs needed whatsoever? Thanks to anyone who can answer this.
