5s just added a useless fingerprint scanner (Police is legally allowed to force you to place your finger on it, because your finger isn't legally considered a password) and an ugly ring around the home button

Where has this been proven to be true? I'm very curious because this would be a big deal if true.

Sure, if it actually ever worked more than 30% of the time.

Yeah, I know, I know - I don't know how to place my finger on the home button properly. :rolls-eyes:

Have you ever gotten yours checked out? I do get failures, but not nearly one out of three times.

So those pictures showing Apple Watch subpixel matrix, didn't they show some oranges dots that are supposed to bem the force touch sensors? in this pic we have an orange thing there

It's a great phone. The larger sizes brought out people in droves selling tons of the thing. But it is the ugly duckling of iphones.
The larger size was not a factor for me so may skip right to the 7. My 5s is still fantastic and slick as hell. The sleekest sexiest phone out there still. For me upgrading would feel like a step down.

There has to be something else that Apple is going to release for the iPhone 6s, I don't think force touch, 2 GB of ram are things the general public are going to say yeah man I got to get this 6s. There has to be something else. Remember the 5s had touch ID and that was a huge selling point and made the general public say yeah look how much easier it will be to unlock your phone I want that 5s.

There has to be another secret Apple is holding back on that will make the general public say wow I need to get the 6s. A bigger battery say 2 extra hours per day would be huge selling point. Remember Apple is looking for sales not from the select few on this forum but from the general public how can we make more sales? Force Touch and extra Ram don't seem to be enough.

Both cameras getting a significant upgrade (12mp, OIS/6s, 4K video for the rear camera / 5mp, 1080p video, LED flash, panoramic mode for the FaceTime camera) might be the biggest selling point.

It technically is true...however, cops would need to get a warrant, mans the second you think you could get arrested, you should turn your phone off. If not, I doubt they can get a warrant, grab the phone out of evidence, locate the suspect, and have him place his thumb on the finger print reader within the 48 hours that the Touch ID is still active. Also...if you were to use a different finger that is not registered with Touch ID, it's not like the police will know. After three failed attempts, you'll have to use the passcode and the police can't force you to give that up.

That is why I always turn off my iPhone when I get pulled over for example.

Actually, I can't think of a time EVER when Apple used RAM as a selling point for any of it's iDevices. As a matter of fact, they never disclose it, and it takes someone like iFixit to take it apart to find out.
Actually, every time they upgrade the amount of RAM they mention it.

When the iPhone 4 got 512 MB of RAM, they mentioned it in nearly every developer session during WWDC 2010. They also put it on their website.

For the iPhone 5, it was mentioned during the keynote and on the website.

And they mentioned it for the iPad Air 2 during the keynote, for which, if I remember correctly, they even got an applause from the audience.

It's time you get your memory checked.
That IS NOT TRUE AT ALL for the Air 2
(And I'm pretty sure its not true for the 5 either if I dig a bit... ).

People only found out about the Air 2's amount of memory for sure DURING TEARDOWNS after launch.

That does beg the question why Apple chooses not to disclose RAM with iOS devices. Is it because they think it shouldn't matter or iOS devices are for non tech-geeks they don't care? One, it does matter and two they have no problems going into details on SoC, 64-bit etc. which the average consumer probably wouldn't understand either.
