OLED is on the Watch so I have to believe it's coming to iPhone soon. Maybe iPhone 7 or 8 when the physical home button is finally gone.

Well according to Displaymate, the GS6 screen is the best ever made for a Smartphone and OLED doesn't suffer from the problems it used to, just like how LCD has come a long way since the garbage it was in the 00s.

People just get too stuck in the past.

"S" year leaks are pretty boring
5 to 5s was a decent update 64 bit cpu + m7. 6s remains to be seen - we heard force touch 7000 series aluminum and a better camera; Here's to hoping this round gets at least something that good.

But so far it sounds like you're right.

Sure, double the RAM, a processor that's 50-100% faster/more efficient, improved low-light camera performance, the regular 4.7" version getting optical image stabilisation. These are minor details. What you are really looking for is a cosmetic change. That would change everything ;)
If the 4.7" is really having the same components and specs as the big one except the screen size, I can tolerate that size even though I would still prefer the 4"...
But are these confirmed yet?

It's time you get your memory checked.
That IS NOT TRUE AT ALL for the Air 2
(And I'm pretty sure its not true for the 5 either if I dig a bit... ).

People only found out about the Air 2's amount of memory for sure DURING TEARDOWNS after launch.

or in leaks just before launch like here (leaks are not Apple Marketing material...)

Please refrain from stating things as facts something that are demonstrably FALSE.
There's a difference between making a mistake and purposefully stating false facts, friend. No need to be hostile.

I made a mistake and stand corrected. That said, Apple still revealed the amount of RAM in some cases... so the earlier argument that Apple "never" reveals the amount of RAM is also demonstrably FALSE! ;)

Won't be much for iPhone 6 users, but as most contracts last two years, it doesn't need to be. The iPhone 5S and older users will have plenty to be happy about.

Upgrading from a 16GB iP5 to the 64GB iP6S will be sheer bliss for me. The 5 is horrendously slow compared to the 5S, let alone the 6.

Going from 512mB --> 2GB, yay! It doesn't matter what the phone has or does not have, I'm well due an upgrade so I'll be buying anyway.

I think they will most likely add OIS to iPhone 6s ;) so that the camera is the same as on the Plus. Ergo protruding camera lens will stay.

Image stabilization for the 6s might just be the item that pushes people to say yeah I need that 6s because we all know how people take so many photos with their iPhone and if you have seen the stabilization work in the 6+ it really is a must have feature.

I don't care much for the camera on my iPhone 5 once I saw the photos taken on my sisters iPhone 6 they were much better and adding image stabilization would make it even better. Why should it be a 6+ feature only?

That is why I always turn off my iPhone when I get pulled over for example.
You think if you get pulled over for speeding a cop is going to force you to unlock your cellphone with your fingerprint and look through your phone? Do you put on your tin foil hat too?

Apple seems to be getting a little long in the tooth for me in the last year or two. The watch really didn't do it for me. The 6s isn't really doing it for me either. Maybe I'll just hold on to my 5S.
But could you name at last 5 tech companies that are "really doing it for you"? Most companies (especially Apple competitors) are doing next to nothing and tend to follow Apple since they can't be innovative.

Sure, if it actually ever worked more than 30% of the time.

Yeah, I know, I know - I don't know how to place my finger on the home button properly. :rolls-eyes:
It sounds more like you've got a defective phone. Unless my hands are semi-wet (not completely dried after washing them) I never ever have problems with the Touch I.D. on my 6 Plus. It works every single time.

I've seen some people who have difficulty getting their iPhone to recognize their fingerprints no matter what they do. However, they're in the minority, I think. For me, Touch ID has been a huge success, not just for waking the phone but for authenticating to apps like 1Password.

Don't expect any great shakes in the 6S or 6S+ model and you won't be disappointed. Even Force Touch is not a must have feature. The new cameras will probably be more of a selling point
Wrong. A9 and 2GB of RAM are the selling points

I like to think of the leaks as a nice reassurance that production is underway, so I can get excited for a September release. I don't really think anyone expects an amazing scoop about some revolutionary feature on the 6s-- we all already know what the upper bound is for all the features we would like the coming update to have, and even that upper bound is pretty modest.

Although some more substantial news about RAM and battery would be nice...
