May just be the angles but it looks wider. I'd sure like to see one next to the 4/s to compare
If they're in a contract they could pay an early termination fee , or do what everyone who had the iPhone4 did when the 4s came out.....live with it and wait until their contract ends.
or if they're running an unlocked phone or are out of contract, sell what they've got and move on.
I don't see why you'd ask such a question.
That new dock connector must be a Micro USB?
Is this finally comming true?

I get the new dock connector, but it sure will trash a bunch of cool accessories like Swivl and others. I'd hope for a very good reason to break from such a established standard. When they went to the dock connector from firewire, there weren't a zillion things affected like now.
Putting the headphone jack on the bottom initially seems good (my HTC's were like that) but I quickly grew to like the current setup because if you put the phone away, upside down, wouldn't the power button get pressed more often?
Or Docked, I liked that you could have an accessory plugged in, like an external mic.
If they made the unibody from metal maybe it's for heat dissipation with LTE radios. I'm sure the end caps are non-metal solely for antenna performance. I hope these new grills aren't lint magnets as these phones are in pockets much more than iPads or laptops and I could see that as an issue.
All in all, I would have no problem keeping my 4s another year should this be just too much of a change. That would send a message (as if...) and at least let the accessory makers catch up.
iPhone 4S will be the last I own if this is the 5.
I measured the picture of this iPhone back.
It's
42 mm Width
82 mm Height but it a taken from a good angle so a tiny bit more
82/ 42 = 1,952380952381
iPhone 4s
58.6 mm Width
115 mm Height
115/ 58.6 = 1,962457337884
So, maybe it has the same dimensions.
The 3.5" display lives on? After owning a 4.3" display I'd rather not go back to something that small.
I don't know if you guys see this, but that back is contoured.![]()
Not according to Macrumors' original story. Emphasis mine:
9 to 5 Mac contradicts this, though.
The iPhone 4/4S design looks great, I don't know why they need to deviate greatly from it, just for the sake of being different. Apple's practice is generally to make iterative improvements, people seem to forget this.
This new iPhone looks completely gorgeous. I'm definitely upgrading to new iPhone when it goes on sale. This will be the most amazing iPhone yet.
The headphone jack on the bottom is... odd.

What are those holes between the camera and the flash? Possibly the new location of the ambient noise cancelling mic. It would make sense for that mic to face outwards towards where ambient noise would be coming from.

Assumption #2: The screen of the device covers the entire space suggested by the space between the top and bottom parts in the back plate.
I get a screen aspect ratio of 1.5. The same as the current 3:2.
If I'm right, it makes me happy. As a developer I really don't want a new aspect ratio and as a user I think it's ugly and silly. Lots of downsides, very few upsides.
It looks great, but when you have the phone 3 years it gets boring. I am sure cars 30yrs ago looked awesome too.
