Not really, if you put your iPhone in your pocket with the screen facing your skin then theirs no need to take it out by rotating it or flipping it upside down.

This is about as silly an argument as I've seen. You are really arguing over how to properly store your phone in your pocket?

I measured the picture of this iPhone back.

It's

42 mm Width

82 mm Height but it a taken from a good angle so a tiny bit more

82/ 42 = 1,952380952381

iPhone 4s

58.6 mm Width

115 mm Height

115/ 58.6 = 1,962457337884

So, maybe it has the same dimensions.

Not looking too nice in these shots. Two toned, really? The two colours makes it look ridiculously cheap.

June - IOS 6 beta releases.
October - new iPhone releases

My post still stands in that it doesn't make sense for Apple to release an iPhone in June/July.

What you said, iOS 6 released to developers abut 90 days prior to general availability with iPhone makes more sense.

October -> June isn't a year.

It would be a first for Apple to change the cycle significantly such that devices are released every 6-8 months and not 12-ish.

They've done it with Macs, so why not the iPhone? Other than the fact that iOS 6 won't be ready just yet.

I don't agree. How about when I want to use it as an iPod and listen to my music and Ihave my phone in my pocket. That would mean either of two solutions.

1. You have the iPhone in the right way around with your headphones losing a few inches of length by going back up the iPhone and out of your pocket and your iPhone not balancing well in your pocket.

2. You put your iPhone inside your pocket upside down.

Now put your device in your pocket without needing to rotate it. On the top was a smart move originally - I always loathed devices with the port on the bottom.

I hope this about finding leak sources, because it's ugly (and for reference, I liked the iPhone 4 straight away). Sadly I'm ready to upgrade, and am hoping for NFC and LTE, both of which outweigh a crap look. :/

To be completely honest, when I'm not listening to music, I put my iPhone in my pocket "upside down". If you put your phone in your pocket right side up, you need to twist the phone around to put it in the right orientation. Try it out.

I hope the headphone jack will stay on the bottom for the final release. The headphone cord sometimes covers the screen when picking it up.

More so (and I think I'm not the only one who does this), when putting the iPhone in my pocket, I always face it dock connector side up so I don't get pocket fuzz in it. Now with the headphone jack on the same side, I don't have to feel guilty about possibly getting pocket fuzz in the headphone jack either! I can also rest assured knowing no pocket fuzz will get into the dock connector when I've had to put it in my pocket right side up when listening to music.

This, I must say, is the killer new feature of the new iPhone. ;)

Not really, just disputing that the placement of the headphone jack seems to be moved to a "better" position. Also just replying to other people's responses and informing them how they don't have to flip or rotate their iPhone when getting out of their pocket for them to have the screen facing them the right way around.

Macs are a bit different to the iOS family, no? Logically, I would think so.

I would think that keeping iOS in sync with the devices is a bit important, but then we also have the iPad.

If you look at the white/silver one, look closer at where the silver and white joins. Maybe it's the resolution but the silver protudes a tiny bit of the width of the white part. Hard to explain but if you stare at the edge of the phone and where they merge you should notice it.

Weird.

The 3.5" display lives on? After owning a 4.3" display I'd rather not go back to something that small.

Or as I have said place the iPhone in your pocket with your screen facing your skin.

The people here that say that every prototype or leaked part is ugly will be the first people in line to buy one.

Even if the back size is close to the same, the screen real estate could be larger.

Looks like this thing is coming out at the end of June...

Guess fall will be the 7" iPad release then.

nope. Iphone is a software platform. A new iOS is required. Bumped hardware is for nerds, not for real users.

Beta iOS6 at WWDC. Iphone 10 weeks later.
