I'd rather have 1 loss in a conference championship NIU ranked over Duke, A&M, Miami, or Georgia.
Hilarious.

Regarding the playoff...the more teams you have in it the less the regular season means. If they had the four team setup this year Auburn would be playing Alabama again!
Well even though Auburn beat Alabama and that still stings but damn it feels good watching Ohio State and Urban Cryer lose. Even a few of Urban's players from Florida are happy to see this. KARMA.....
This is the only time of year when I go for Auburn, so lets hope they beat FSU and keep the bcs title in the state of Alabama for 5 years in a row!
any thoughts? Hopefully he will stay, but right now I think he is gone..
I think he put it best saying at his age, he didn't really want to start over rebuilding a program. I'm not sure he'll stay at Alabama but if he leaves, it may be due to his desire to retire and not go to Texas.
I personally think he would enjoy the challenge of a rebuild, but the combination of his family settling down in Alabama, the fact that he basically has a blank check from Bama to match anything Texas offers, and the unnecessary stress from leaving one situation where he is a legend to another where he would be replacing a living legend is tough.
I mostly think it's his agent (and UTs wonderfully open failures to rid themselves of Brown) doing a wonderful job leveraging a max extension for his client.

Side note: Anyone interested in a macrumors bowl pick 'em group for fun?
Can't say that I'm surprised by this.
ESPN.com said:Winston ran away with the ballot, earning 2,205 points. Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron was second with 704 points. Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch was third with 558 points.
Boston College's Andre Williams was the top running back, coming in fourth with 470 points. Manziel was fifth with 421, while Auburn Tigers running back Tre Mason was sixth with 404.
There are too many useless bowls that are spread out to long. Have 10 bowls and show them all on New Years.
come on Long Horns!!!
I too will only be watching the Rose Bowl. The Cardinal are off to a good start, out-eating MSU at Lawry's Prime Rib by 15 pounds of succulent, medium rare prime rib, though they did have the benefit of competing in the same contest last season.
