Bristol Motor Speedway

I know it's not until the 2016 season but this is how Bristol Motor Speedway is going to look for the Tennessee vs Virginia Tech game. I'm not a fan of either of these teams but I might have to try and go to this game...

Have fun on the Grove. It's a beautiful campus. Been there a few times. Just a heads up, the students already have a welcome message ready for A&M

Did the TV guys make any mention of the Ole Miss student section cheering like crazy when Johnny got hurt? Pretty surprising.

At any rate, every Ole Miss fan I talked to was nice and welcoming and we had a great time. Great game, great atmosphere. Loved the trip. Will definitely be going back.

That seems like the seats are awfully far away. Bring binoculars.

Personally, I'm never thrilled to see any players injured, I'd rather beat a team at their best or lose trying. I would never wish a player to suffer an injury.

The Dawgs have been living on the edge in every game and with all of the injuries they have had it caught up with them today. Although, the injuries are primarily on the offense, so there is no excuse for our defense being so bad other than poor coaching by Grantham. The talent isn't necessarily great, but it is good enough to compete. Unfortunately our players are consistently unprepared and out of position on defense. So far the Dawgs have been able to outscore opponents like LSU and Tennessee, but with the top 2 running backs and top 3 receivers gone, that isn't possible any more. Even with a healthy offense, the defense was not good enough to contend for a title.

Im a UGA fan. That was sarcasm

stupid post:(

Hopefully people now see that Louisville isn't all that. Their defense is horrible and that "team" is a one man show. THEY ARE NOT A TOP 10 OR EVEN TOP 15 TEAM. I'm glad a good unranked team beat them.

Now what has happened to the Georgia Bulldogs? Missouri is #1 in the east!! This is going to be a fun year in the SEC

Roll Tide

I've said it all along. College team rankings are a joke. SEC is boring to me because teams are expected to be so good, almost on a pro level, but they are just college teams that have the "resources" to "recruit" the best talent. College teams should be about showcasing the talent that comes to a school naturally. What I mean by that is if a school is known for academics, which all colleges SHOULD strive for, let them recruit the best team they can with that academic talent. In the case of state schools etc. let them recruit the best talent available in the area. Paying for the best talent should be reserved for the pros only.

Texas A&M

Good to see Ole Miss expose Johnny Goofball. Can't take a hit, things like that will seriously cut any career short on Sundays. Maybe he better not be so quick to count money that he doesn't have yet. Should take care of any repeat for Heisman too. Go Johnny Goofball.

Actually, it was Auburn that beat Texas A&M in a slugfest yesterday. Manziel went back in the game after his shoulder injury, but didn't look as strong. I was happy to see Ole Miss topping LSU with a last minute FG. Crazy times in the SEC.

Might need to check your facts.

Personally, I'm hoping LSU will use their bye week to figure out how to beat Alabama. That would make our two loss record tolerable. <smile>

At this point, I want Alabama to win out just for the sole reason of National Championship chance for the SEC. If Bama loses then no SEC team will be in the Championship picture and snap our streak. The only game I would find interesting without Bama is Oregon/FSU. It would be a massive shootout. Probably the highest National Championship I've seen in my lifetime.

I agree with a previous poster, the NCAA rankings are a joke. There are teams not ranked that are far better than some of those in the top 25.

The Bama/Lsu game is always fun to watch. Both teams have the bye week before playing each other and that means well both teams will be rested and hopefully at 100%. I have to disagree though with what you said about Lsu figuring out a way to beat Bama :)... ROLL TIDE

I just want to add this. If Bama does lose a game or 2 and not make it to the national championship FSU vs Oregon could also be a shoot out. I would give the advantage to FSU in that game just because of their defense. If you look at the Alabama D and the FSU D they are almost the exact same.

Anyway ROLL TIDE ROLL

A long shot would be an interesting game Baylor VS Mizzou not likely to happen but it would be entertaining, consensus, unanimous, OK.

Rankings are a joke, the best way to remedy the situation would be to have Tournament of 32 or 64 teams, recruiting is always part of the process. Some institutions have both academic and athletic programs that are examples of excellence.Jay Bilas just recently was voicing support for a football tournament similar to the basketball tournament to be organized and overseen by the NCAA.He went on to say that the NCAA should also be given more authority and oversight to enforce NCAA regulations, this would eliminate most of the problems but it is doubtful that this will come to past.

Mizzou fan

Missouri fan?

They were competitive in the Big 8 and later in the Big 12 it should be an interesting game to watch since they have seemed to catch on to the learning curve fairly quick, nobody from the Big 12 or an original member from the Big 8 can play grown man football.I have more respect for Mo. than A&M, the SEC and the old SW Conference both lack integrity.

Haha. As if the Big 8 was any different. I do agree that what Pinkel has accomplished there is remarkable.

Looking forward to a great night of Alabama football. Me and my wonderful fiancé waiting on kickoff. ROLL TIDE!!!!

Bama vs Lsu This is going to be fun
