College Students: What's Your Major?

I didn't pick you as a political scientist, you're not provocative enough. :p

Joke.

Except for that one thread on CPU Temperature. ;) :)

I believe that I made a few political cracks in that one. :)

I'm now a super-senior doing a dual major in Environmental Studies and Business Administration.

Sounds like fun!

Super-Senior, that has a nice ring to it. :)

Music Industry Studies here.

Hopefully the pizza joke won't apply...

Hopefully not, that is probably where my sister is headed in a few years. :)

Good Luck! :)

BS Chemical Engineering at Rice University

I'm in my 4th year! The pain is ALMOST over! :)

Wow, I wish I was on my 4th year-
I still have two more to go. :)

Ummm...theatre, concentration in play writing. I'm gonna be an artists. Starving and tortured and the whole bit.

And you chose this field of study, knowing your predicted outcome!? ;) :)

ugh i still have 6 years of schooling left at least. T_T cause i took this year off due to illness ><!

Mechanical engineering at the University of Vermont. I did the opposite of a lot of engineering student and transfered into the engineering school. I would sat at least half, if not more of the incoming students are gone by the second year, usually once they hit thermo-dynamics. I was studying physics for a year and a half, but it was too much theory and equations, I like hands on stuff. Because I transfered, this is my fifth year, but that doesn't bother me.

Technically in my 4th year of college still undeclared. Still utterly 'lost.'

Maybe women's/feminist studies? I don't know!

Right now, majoring in history, and minoring in geography.. but so far its been a real sleeper, so who knows how long it'll last.

Do they have a world dominance major? I think it would fit you well. :p

I'm graduating this year from the University of Delaware with a BS in Information Systems and two concentrations. One in Business and one in Computer Science.
I can't wait to get out. I'm already in my 5th year and on my 5th major:
Computer Engineering -- to much calculus
Computer Science -- to much programing and too little problem solving
Cognitive Science -- boring
Business Administration -- would have taken a 6th+ year to graduate
Information Systems -- I love the Analysis end of software development

Careful now, you're placing deliciously lovely ideas into my head. Eh, who'm I kidding? I've thought about world dominance many a time. ;) What gave it away?!

Wow, a lot of mind changing! Hopefully all goes well as you finish up.

That made me laugh aloud, thank you :).

I'm utterly lost too, Devilot. Right now I am in a Design and Technology program and I have never been a designer and I no longer want a career in technology , so I'm switching to Design and Management, a BBA will help me more than a BFA in 99% of careers :). I can't say I have an intense interest in business, though.

As of now I'm only interested in hanging out with friends and dancing. Pretty sad, I know :(.

i am working towards a BSc in Air transport Management, which is an original and very interesting degree (apart from 3 hours of accounting on friday mornings.):D

it required the highest A Level grades out of any similar coourse in the UK. i was so pleased to get in.

I transfered into EE from CE tech (which was a joke) after my first quarter at RIT. I'm currently in my 4th year of a super senior program. We have the same probelm with retention in the Engineer school here as well, I've heard as low as 35%, but I think the official number is 42% graduate that come in as freshmen (that doesn't even count transfers that drop out).

Well, there is no disputing that! :)
and with Ph.Ds in finance and economics, I could probably make a graph that, although totally made up, looks pretty damn convincing.
