No worries, thanks. I was like, "Damn! That's just me and my wife on our honeymoon!" Lol ;)

Opinion…not fact. I don't understand all the hate.
Putting on my psychologist hat I would deduce that people who protest so wildly about overpriced coloured airpods are negatively criticising them to make themselves feel better about not being able to afford them. For some reason they feel bitter about not being able to stump up the cost. Someone who could, would not feel the need to critique as harshly. It's like they're jealous of a neighbours new car.

Companies place premiums on coloured differentiations all the time. Cars. Furniture. Clothes Etc. It's an extension of personality. If there's a market. And people are willing. Why not. If it makes them happy.

Off topic, anyone know any grip that is thin enough to fit in the case? The glossy plastic is very slippery. Thanks in advance.

Can I scheduled an appointment?

Why do you have to blast someone who has a desire for a differently colored device and is willing to pay for it? I'm sure you have some things that I wouldn't like and wouldn't pay a cent for. But I wouldn't call you stupid for liking something that I don't. You sound like a certain politician that hates everything.

It's not paying more for a different colour that is really the issue here. It's paying 81% more for different coloured set of earphones that seems rather wasteful.

That forum member wants other members to respond to his negative rhetoric. Add him to your ignore list. It's not worth even responding to someone like that and you have to outsmart him. I don't disagree with you though.

On Topic: I could easily see someone taking advantage of The colored Airpods. If the company is reputable and someone has the money to do so, why not.

Best advice indeed, just ignore. I never see his positive comments toward everything Apple. Looks like all other Apple centric sites like 9tomac, macdailynews and appleinsider have more sensible members than macrumors which has a lot of haters, period! Maybe their lives are so miserable and Apple-bashing makes them feeling better and more important in this internet society?!

guessing you can send yours in and they do it for it instead of needing to buy brand new ones

Why guess? Just RTFA.

"...those who order AirPods from ColorWare will also need to wait for approximately six weeks for their order to arrive. ColorWare often lets customers send in their own devices to be painted, but this isn't currently an option with the AirPods."

300 bucks... for a colour? The sad thing is, there are some people dumb enough to pay that.

Dumb? Smells like jealousy to me. Insecurity, too, needing to put people down for their purchase decisions in order to feel good about yourself.

There are many who earn a wage that easily supports such a purchase. Not an unusual situation.

Apple should just make these in black at least.

I'm so tired of white plastic...looks always cheap to me.

I doubt those people waste money on vanity colors let alone ugly air pods , they'll have common sense and smarts make that wage.

No worries, Apple now has a form to direct deposit your paycheck into their account. Problem solved!

"let alone ugly air pods"

You mean the AirPods that have been constantly sold out, with delivery now quoted as mid-April, due to enormous demand?

Nice that you are so much smarter than most. Hope that makes you feel good about yourself!

No its normal for me (I'm used to the feeling), sell out? How many they make come on now.
They ARE ugly, people look ridiculous with them on and if I see them i will point and laugh at them

This must be a service for those that don't know what to do with their money or even WHY they're doing it. In other words, do you have any idea the kind of QUALITY headphones one could buy for $289??? An Airpod is essentially a wireless version of the cheap POS that comes with iPods. They're GOD-AWFUL GARBAGE in my not-so-humble opinion.

I bought a pair of in-the-ear gel-phones (as in they were made of gel around the transducer so they could fit most ear canals) at the Heathrow Airport outside of London last year for like 15 British pounds (because I had packed my noise-cancelling JVC phones in my luggage without thinking about it) and these things were cheap looking but were absolutely AMAZING for the price. (because they go in the ear canal and SEAL which provided just as much noise isolation in my opinion as the JVC phones did outside the ear and with at least as much bass and clean highs. I wish I could recall the brand name.

One problem with those cheap earpods is that they don't really FIT in your ear at all (hell they want to fall out of mine all the time so I can't get even the sound they're capable of to begin with and no noise isolation what-so-ever. WTF would I care what color they are anyway? They go partially in your ear. Who is going to see them? I give this product four out of four donkeys' butts.

Oh, I just remembered why this is even news. It's because the new iPhone doesn't have a freaking headphone jack. Yeah that 15 pound in-the-ear special wouldn't even work without an adapter.... So if you packed it away in your suitcase you'd have to buy another adapter and the headphones to listen to anything on the 7.5 hour flight back to America.... (you wouldn't have trouble getting that adapter, though since Heathrow is basically a small sized mall inside the security gate and it had what seems by memory to be an Apple store right there, but it might have been an Apple reseller. I just know I saw them selling Macbook Pros to people to try out on their flight. You've got to love an airport that sells items that cost more than an international flight. ;)
