Comex To Release Spirit Like Tool To Jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (New/Old Bootrom)

sorry I am confused when following the thread, did we get some news that the JB will be released today?

I can't wait to try it on my 3gs and 4

I'm sorry you feel this way thelatinist. I don't feel that I am wrong in anyway, and that actually you are the one that is wrong, mean, and hurtful, but I wouldn't want to upset you.. just let everyone else know that my apology doesn't mean much. Except for you. For you I'm still sorry.

There is no official ETA statement other than its still a "upcoming release." MN just stated that its not considered a "final" jailbreak but will work for the latest FW, although the user in response asked MN for a release date (he should be happy MN even responded to him).

Someone else under the name of @iMacRat claim to have the iphone4 jailbreak, to be released at 3PM today. Whether you want to risk it is up to you, but this is insulting spreading comex' work (again) without his consent.

I'm holding off, but you're more than welcome to believe it.
 
release it and people who have their iPhone 4s already are fine and can jailbreak if they dont update to 4.01

others will have to wait
 
If the imacrat or whatever's JB works, I'm all over it. Pure and simple. I can thank Comex in my head, if it's really his, but really - what difference does it make? If it's out, it's out. I wish Comex could get all the glory, but it doesn't make any difference if I download it from www.blah.com or www.bleh.com , does it?

You sound like a douchehole, even with the "apology".

Anyway, I do NOT welcome this new leak, if it is true. The dev-team is hard at work on JB/UL and this would seriously detract from their efforts, not to mention our ability to JB future firmwares. Even if 4.0.1 is just to fix the signal bar display (useless), they should still release the JB afterwards just in case 4.0.1 brings any other enhancements.
 
so if I want to prepare my phone for the JB, does the iPhone 4 has something like SHSH? I have both 3gs and 4 with iOS4 and latest boot rom. So I want to get it backed up to prepare for the JB at anytime and if it doesn't work then at least I can still go back to the old FW in case iTunes is updated with new FW. Thanks for all the help! :)

Im gonna laugh when the jailbreak is leaked...peoples phones get bricked and they start crying.
