An impressive list. If AT&T had a decent LTE network that feature alone would be worth the upgrade for me. Much as I would like a more dramatic change, I'm certain I will buy the new iPhone.
As to 'everyone failing to come up with an answer as to what would constitute a drastic change', well, if I had that answer I would either be working for Apple or at the patent office.
You make a good point about At&T. Im grandfathered in on data and I never get near 2GB of data usage a month since I'm always hooked on a wifi. However I still prefer to keep my unlimited data. Now At&T said people must be on a data share for FaceTime on cellular, I use FaceTime a lot and would more if I could use it on cellular, probably 85% of my calls would be FT. Now how is Sprint 4G compared? They still offer unlimited data and that isn't changing so I may have to go to Sprint.
We've all seen the iPhone Nano. It's a smaller version of the new iPhone, it's called the iPhone 4(S).
I for one will make a boatload of money off this new stretch phone. I will short apple stock very heavily and make gazillions =)
I will not buy this **** even if it costs around $99 I will stick with my iphone 4 until they realise that TC is a new Sculley and kick him to the curb.
Then they can present something new next year that people actually want.
I think the stock price target is at around $500 because of large holdings by institutional investors whom are incompetent and bought 2 billion dollars worth of FB. But if they panic after a $100 shave, we could dip down to 480-475....

The institutional investors and analysts buying the stock are well aware of the rumors of the new iPhone and I'm sure they've seen these pictures just as we have (they can go onto the rumor sites just as easily as anyone else). The iPhone makes up over 50% of Apple's stock price.
As for Apple's secrecy, we don't know what Tim Cook's actual attitude is (only what he has said). Apparently the new iPhone and smaller iPad have leaked, but we still don't know about Apple TV products, updated Mac desktops, or even whether the new iPhone will support NFC and what uses Apple would have for it if it does. Doubling down on secrecy doesn't mean that leaks won't ever occur. It could mean that Apple is controlling the leaks a bit better.
Oh God, that would be awesome though! Totally miss the surprise days of Apple. So hard to say spoiler free nowadays.

This will be the new iPhone. Because they've ALWAYS been the new iPhone when there have been this many agreeing rumors/pics.
You'll whine for a day, come to terms the second, and buy it the third.
All the tech pundits are already disappointed because it basically looks like a stretched iPhone 4/4S. When Steve Jobs died he took all the innovation Apple had with him to the grave. Why not just knock off about $50 from Apple's share price ahead of time and declare Samsung's Galaxy S III the unconditional winner of the smartphone wars. Even when Apple sells about 50 million units the first quarter, the next gen iPhone will be considered a dismal failure because it doesn't look like how Steve would have designed if he were alive. End of story. End of Apple. Apple is doomed, again.

The width is the issue not the height, so to make it taller just forces more people to read horizontally which I do not like to do.
And then I hate the 2 tone back...
I could not care less about "CPU SPEEEEEDZ" and "MEMORIES OF MANY BILLIONZ OF BITES" or "TRIPLE-QUAD GPU WITH VERTEX BASED ALGORITHMS" or such.. I just want a clean nice phone that does not look like a NMT phone from the early 90´s.
I will be proven right, if I do not like most other people won't... so I will post pics of me eating squid then.. I hate squid and it will be a fail video of me, doing my own "fear factor" at home as punishment for being wrong!
Yea with the last iPhone released when Jobs was around we only got to see the entire completely assembled iPhone 4.
What we have now is table-scraps in comparison.

If I was apple and I wanted to keep the new design of my IPhone secret without questions I would leak false information. If I could supply pictures and in some cases parts using a prototype or a purposely designed fake iPhone I would. The way I would do it is to find where my best potential for leaks would be and give false information to those people. So like Foxconn employees would think one thing while the truth is something else. I'm not saying they are doing this but it wouldnt be hard, it wouldn't take a lot of effort and we see how effective false information is, governments do it all the time. If I was Apple I without question would do it. I won't be shocked in October when they show the real phone and it's totally different. Yes October cause September is just a rumor right now also.

I'm different I guess cause I can deal with the look if it offers something special. In my opinion I think this phone will have haptic touch technology which would be more important then the look. I would like it wider as well but we shall see. Two tone is horrible looking
This phone was the main project Jobs was working on and spending his final days with Apple on so he must of approved.

i signed up and sign in every other day to find great information but all i really read are these 'fetish making leaks' and such. "...wow, a screw from the rumored 'next' eyefone or the lint ooooh from the next mini eyefad woah, the technology involved is so profound we have 'never' seen anything like these parts before - so for sure they are indication of the next gen gem..."
i guess i'm biased but it is okay to be biased and to know what you really wanna get out of the things you get into, i just wanna know about the macbook pros, i let go of my phone 9 years ago and doing just fine and dandy in life without one, there is SO MUCH technology out there it just seems cumbersome to have a hunk of metal stuck at my side. now i can actually hear a lot more than i ever have when my head was always stuck or my fingers always glued to one of these things.
the future looks really curious that is all i can say...

Thank you for reading my mind. I'd prefer a refined phone over a revamped big phone any day. Revamped/redesigned does not equal better.
I like the headphone jack on bottom that's nice cause wires always get in way. I like longer screen but I wish it was edge to edge. I find that TV'sedge to edge look so nice I think a phone would benefit as well. What will the new iPhone offer that no other phones offer? That is the question I worry about. They usually add something each time. I have a feeling this one will be huge. I think it's going to involve adding the use of another sense while using your iPhone.
Agreed. The leaks are intensional in order to attempt to slow Galaxy III sales till Sept 12th.
