you have to call them, I paid with CC(over the phone) and they had no problem shipping to my office instead of the billing address of the CC..seems like they only had Verizon 3g models left when i called 2.5 hours ago
Thanks! Yes, I think there is no problem shipping to another adress. I mean, It could be a gift or something like that. However, the Verizon doesn't work here in Brazil. We only have GSM system so If I buy a Verzion is the same of buying just a WI-FI one.

I finally found one. I had a reserve at Best Buy since a day after release, but they have not received any 32gig wifi black at that Best Buy yet. Since then, I decided I'd rather have a 16 gig wifi black. Been searching: Went to an Apple Store (Natick) last Sunday but they only had Verizon by the time it reached me. Tried a Walmart that looked to have stock, but they didn't have any. Then Weds I tried Target but they sold the 16 gig wifi 10 minutes before I arrived. Today, I got to a different Target in time to buy one (they had two left after me, got five today) - Millbury MA. The employee actually agreed to hold the iPad for me so I felt a little less anxious getting to the Target. The employee who got the iPad for me told me they're not allowed to do a hold, but it will depend who you talk to.
I used ipad2locator.com for the Target, and milo.com for best buy. Best Buy never seemed to turn up any iPads.
Sync'ed. No dead pixels. I don't know a handy way to test for the bleed effect so I'm not going to stress about it for now.

Target has a 90day return with receipt, i returned the first ipad to get the ipad2 and they gave me full refund no problem.

Have been laid up these last few weeks and today was to be my first day out. So I do what I've been doing everyday since falling ill, check the local stores for inventory. A couple did show up while I was in the hospital but who cared. Today (yesterday actually) Wal-Mart shows one in stock so off we go. Can't find any one to help us for about five minutes and we finally see some one who tells us they don't have any and haven't had any lately. Me, I've been following this thread awhile so I keep sniffing around. Just as we're leaving we walk past the photo counter and I spot 4 white boxes in a locked cabinet. So we look for a sales clerk again, who has to call for someone with a key and got oh so lucky. The first 3 boxes were the original and the 4th was the one I was looking for, Ipad 2 64 GB AT&T black. Bought it. Get home and realized that I had gotten so caught up in the chase that I hadn't decided if I really wanted to replace my old one. My partner reminded me that I can't go to auctions for just this reason, the thrill of the chase the let down at the end. Options: Keep it, return it, or resell it for a slight profit.

For those in Northeast OH/Northwest PA, the Best Buy next to the Eastwood Mall in Niles Ohio had 6 iPad 2's in stock at 11am, Saturday April 2nd. All were 32gb WiFi only.
There wasn't anyone in line waiting for them. They also have a few iPad 1's also.
Sorry that I didn't ask about the colors, I was looking for the 3g versions.

Guys, I finally got one! A 64gb white wifi model. It's more space than I wanted but I bought it off a guy on craigslist for retail price NIB (he needed to sell it by the end of today). I wanted a black model perferably but the white bezel isn't distracting at all even while movie watching and there's no noticeable screen bleed, I even checked for it. I'm really enjoying It

It kind of boggles my mind that even Portland isn't getting any stock, there's 3 apple stores there ffs. All of the walmarts here said they weren't getting any til june
Target hasn't gotten any in weeks, and bestbuy doesn't know when they'll be getting any(though the inventory checker showed that Salem had some).My plan (before I got that deal) was to just order one from apple, and keep looking then cancel my order if I happened to find one. I think that one thing is happening is that the demand is dwindling somewhat (at least for the outrageous scalper priced ones) so the scalpers are going to have to start at least selling them at retail prices to recoup their investment, which is how I got mine. Obviously if the guy was sened to get one.art he would have put it on ebay, but luckily for me he didn't and he needed to sell it right away.
Anyway, my advice is order one from Apple if you haven't already, keep checking the store inventory, watch craigslist and don't be afraid to offer less than their asking price.
Man, these Best Buy inventory links sure aren't reliable. A week ago, it showed that my local Best Buy only had 3 remaining original iPad models in stock.
Today, 5 models are available.
Either Apple is shipping original iPads still (not a chance) or Best Buy's online inventory is screwed up.

Can someone inform me what stores in the D.C. metro area they've had luck with? Preferably Apple and/or Best Buy stores because I'm tired of waking up at the crack of down every Friday and Saturday morning only to keep coming home empty handed. Maybe if I can pin point what retailers get the most inventory and stay focused on those, I can knab one before the month is out.
Go to the Apple store in Tyson's Corner Mall.
The mall opens at 10, the apple store at 9, and the mall lets people in there at 6am.
So just go early and get in line.
I was able to score a 16g Black WiFi there a few weeks back. I got there at 9:30 and the Apple guy still had a stack of tickets in his hand.
If you get a ticket, it's good until the end of the day. But there was only about 15 people in line ahead of me, so I figured I'd just wait.
Now I just wish Apple would get some nice leather bi-fold cases in for the iPad 2. I am not a fan of the smart covers.

Because I have been calling numerous stores that were listed as "In Store Only." So, Tuesday morning I called Best Buy 8 minutes after they opened and while I was expecting an answer of no, I got "yes we have 3 32GB WiFi Black" (that was it, no other iPad's) and "would you like me to hold it for you." Ummmm...hell yeah.

Oh yeah and 18 months free financing at Best Buy. That kicks some major butt! Score!!!
