I stopped at Walmart randomly today. I looked around their cases and saw nothing. Then i looked in the iPod case and way in the back was a white 16 GB. When i asked the employee to get it for me, she told me the manager had been looking for it all day and that store shouldn't have gotten iPads, let alone be sellng them. Once the manager came, it was fine and I was able to purchase. Better yet, i went to buy a black smart cover and when it rang up as $69, she said that must be wrong, and changed it to $39. It was a lucky day for me! I already have a Black 64 GB so my parents ae getting this one!

. Despite the fact that I'm having a really hard time finding one, it's nice hearing that people are having success. Worst comes to worst and I can't find one in the next couple weeks I'm just gonna order online. Who know? Maybe apple's shipping times will come down some at least.

Somethings not right. I tried a couple of zip codes and it showed the same thing for all of them.
Yup all the random areas I tried have em all in stock. Im sure it's broken, but that's not gonna ill informed resellers from camping in the cold. Suckers. 
I haven't been able to look at all the prior posts, so this may be common knowledge but when I check the walmart website and either use the link in the first post or simply search ipad 2 on the website it seems to more directly allow searching inventory now but it still seems somewhat inaccurate from my experience BUT I was able to place an order for a 32gb white wifi on the website with free ship to store, if this is the model that someone is looking for this may be an option to at least try!
Seems they fixed the bug. Back to "Unavailable"
Edit: Walked into Target just after noon after I saw the stock got to Available (Updated 2 minutes ago). Got myself a 32GB AT&T Black iPad 2!

Used the Target links in this thread to score a Black 32GB AT&T a little while ago. Nothing this morning, and then right around lunchtime, it showed up available.
Walked in, expecting nothing to actually be available, and the counter guy reported only Verizon. Then he scanned the SKU tag, and said that there are 3 in stock, and went looking for his manager. They found them in the back, brought mine out, and was gone in under 10 minutes.

It showed up online as "In Store Only" and I tried to call but no answer...so I stopped in on the way home from work. Waited in line at Customer Service and asked...first girl said no but another one nearby said, yes, but only 32gb wifi models. Bingo! I was in luck.
They had 2 others on the shelf with little yellow sticky notes on them saying Open.
If you're in the area and that is the one you want, get on your horse!

Signed up just so that I could say thank you to the OP for the lnks! By keeping my eye on the BB inventory (I had a $500 GC to BB), I was able to score my white 64G wi-fi yesterday! I settled for white, as I had originally decided on black, but at this point I am completely happy...

If it weren't for the fact that people apparently seem to be finding ipads using those links, I would assume they were broken as the status of not a single one of any of the two versions I'm looking for has ever changed in the two weeks I've been checking. Sucks.
Waiting to return my 16gb for a 32gb when it becomes available. One store has the 16gb version within 100 miles of my location... Montgomery AL
An hour ago the Target in Wake Forest, NC had 2 iPads - a 16gb & a 32gb wifi. I think they were both black. They could have had more behind them - I didn't look very close.
I got my iPad at Best Buy last week. However, I got so used to looking for them, I still look every time I go in a Target, Best Buy or Walmart!
