The icons are experimental, I actually think they will work pretty good. Not sure I'd want too many of them in my dock at once though

snoop+dre said it,

throw them out, b*t*hes ain't sh*t

Oh boy, this is gonna cost me. Its good to know about it in advance though, that way I can slowly introduce my girlfriend to it.

Its weird, its my money but I have to debate every cent I spent on computer stuff. That girl has me wrapped around her pinky. Any of you guys have the same 'problem'?

What are the current licenses like for Adobe apps? will 1 one copy allow me to install on 2 machines (laptop/desktop)..?

Details I am waiting for:
- Upgrade price from CS2
- different combinations of the CS3

I use Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Acrobat Pro.

Would be nice to see GoLive get taken out. Useless, IMO.

Oh boy where have you been? GoLive is most certainly a gone-er. Dreamweaver is the industry standard, and thus GoLive was replaced by it (and of course DW was probably given an Adobe-esque facelife).
Um Go Live has an icon in the new Adobe product matrix, as well as Freehand, dont speak so soon...

What about After Effects? It's not part of the CS package but I probably spend 80% of my time there.

After Effects is part of the current Creative Suite Production Studio for video professionals.

Hmm, well unfortunately I don't think my employer bought that package. We have the CS2 package and I'm pretty sure they bought AE separately (which is probably why I'm still stuck using 6.5). Is there some sort of upgrade path from standard CS2 to the CS Vid Prod Studio? We definitely need Photoshop and Illustrator, but never use GoLive or InDesign.

Interesting

Apple store Finnland (and most other stores too, but not US) has this special offer when you're customising your mac: 'Special offer: Purchase any Mac computer and Final Cut Express HD from January 2 to March 27, 2007, and receive up to €150 back via mail-in rebate. Simply choose the preinstall option and send the mail-in rebate coupon (pdf) back to us.'

Is the date just coincidence, or are they trying to sell older hardware to make room for new models? Maybe new iMacs and Mac Pros at March 28?

Does anyone know what the system requirements are going to be?

Some sales rep told my boss that we wouldn't be able to run CS3(?) on our current machines (after he called to check on CS3). We just upgraded everything... we are now running all G4s computers of various flavors (slowest a 700 Mhz eMac), all maxed out on RAM, running OSX 10.4.8. I'm not sure what else would need upgrading. Hard drive space isn't a problem either.

I realize that some of the machines running just 1GB or RAM might be a bit challenged, but it should still run.

I'm thinking the sales guy was feeding my boss a line just to placate him after he just spend a ton of $$ buying several packages of CS2...and trying to save the sale (hasn't been delivered yet).

Anyone know???

Thanks

It's even on amazon.com.

And I'm pretty sure they've both been running this promo for quite awhile now.

Dreamweaver?

Will CS3 include Dreamweaver? If not, what is the release date for Dreamweaver and the former Studio suite programs shaping up to be?
