save passwords...

so far so good...i like finding new things!! :D

Are you serious? I mean REALLY?? How could you only notice that now when it appears in 3.0!! Wow

While 3.0 can save passwords its been hit and miss for me. I rarely get asked to save a password. I hope they improved that feature in 4.0.

I heard that in app sms was a new feature. Can anyone provide some info on how well it works and maybe post some screen shots?

It likely ignores forms such as banks that have autofill=false. Also, I think you might have to click the iPhone "Submit" button and not close the prompt and click the button yourself. Still - the feature has been in it before and was readily mentioned in many places before today.

From what I'm hearing it's a way for other apps to use the SMS sending features so that say, Dragon Diction could send the SMS itself and not make you copy/paste it into a new SMS message manually. Not positive though.

I doubt it is a quick-sms method. Otherwise, why not make it a standard part of the OS instead of making each app developer develop it?

I guess it was too much to hope that it was like quick reply. Oh well I was going to jailbreak 4.0 anyway so I guess it doesn't matter it just would have been nice to have the feature built into the OS.

When you try to delete messages in a Gmail folder the option to delete is now Archive.

Yes, I have something to hide.

I (partly) use the phone for work related matters, so have e-mails and PFS and database files on my phone that contain confidential material.

I wouldn't get away with using a 4 digit pin on my work computer, so it's a little borderline I use it on my iPhone.
Same here. Trajen doesn't sound like he's much older than 20.

Wow, that got your panties in a wad. I'm sorry, but that is the first time I had ever seen that on my iPhone and I've had one since day one. It now prompts me everytime I put a password anywhere.

I think for me it was off in the settings by default in 3.0. I guess it's on by default now.

voice control now tells you the time if you ask " what time is it"

:p haha finally. I've actaully needed this many times!

I see myself using voice control more and more these days. They should add things like placing the phone on silent and reading any notifications on your lock screen. Would be good if apple could let you program your own voice commands.

For those of you thinking that this is stupid, I'm talking about using these when you are using headphones, bluetooth headsets and a like.

EDIT:

I'm in Australia and the voice is now a female Australian (previously female American)

Does this also mean it's able to better understand an Australian accent?

under location services you can now select the apps that you want to determine your location

You have to turn this feature on inside Safari settings. I think it is turned off by default.

LOL I didn't know I ditched the iPhone after the 3G and was considering coming back for the new one. It got really annoying turning my phone completely off in meetings so it wouldn't vibrate.

Well I've had the 3G and the 3GS and both have had the option to disable vibration. Maybe you missed it?
