Apple has said they won't stop you--or help you. You'll be on your own for help on installing Windows (but I'm sure info will pop up on the web very quickly, if any special tricks are called for). And you'll need to buy a copy of Windows. For myself, I don't want Windows making my Mac less secure, so I won't be booting Windows. I may, however, run Windows in its own safe sandbox alongside OS X--using Virtual PC or the like. I'm sure such options will be coming.
I'll be keeping an older Mac for the same reason (Descent 3!)--but it wouldn't shock me if someday some developer comes up with an unofficial way to get Classic running in Rosetta--especially if Rosetta has gained AltiVec compatibility.BlueRevolution said:what ticks me off is - no more Classic. not that I use any apps that run in Classic anymore, but I do play Classic games from time to time. hey, a Mac gamer's got to get his jollies where he can find em right? so losing that is not so good. so I guess I'll have to hang on to my G5 forevermore, just so I can play Carmageddon II "one last time".
