Although I only have a Powerbook, not Powermac.....
I'm staying up late in France tonight to check out the keynote after it posts!

Anyone seen this picture which apparently shows a new version of the powermac which is much smaller???[/IMG]
You better be joking, or have a medical certificate scanned in showing a mental condition. Ok sorry that made me sound like an ass, but this has been posted and discussed on many pages of this thread and MANY have said "omg have you seen this picture". And now seeing as you've asked the question I may aswell answer it. They are 3rd party hard drives.

After looking at it longer I think they are hard drives that are styled to look like a powermac

I'm so sick of that photo, if you browsed back a page or two you'd realise it was an external hard disk!

Your thoughts would be confirmed if you would have read the previous posts...

Right after I posted the pic I went back and edited it. I quickly saw they were external hard drives.

AAARGH

A. Please don't ever link directly to huge images like that, attach them properly

B. Its already been covered about 16,000,000 times in this thread, they are third party hard drives

This apple is apple a apple good apple way apple to apple keep apple an apple idiot apple busy apple for apple twenty apple seconds apple........

Now read with out the word apple

What else can entertain........hmmm

What is the difference between a PowerBook G5 and Man walking on the moon?????

Not much...... Both have never happened and probably never will happen.

I'm all out

Hurry up 4am, Hurry up

My Predictions
-New iBook
-New Shuffle
-New iLife 06
-New iTunes content

-PowerBooks to ship in Feb

Good time to be in Europe!

This is about the only time that the time zone difference ends up helping me here in France...I get to have a regular day at work, then look forward to the Stevenote at 5PM when I'm about done.
Sweet.

After viewing this set of photo's from MacWorld '06...
http://www.davidsond.com/MR/index.html

There is no doubt in my mind that Apple will be releasing a new portable or desktop. The photos that feature the banners flipped up and believe it or not the lighting above the black curtains are what gives it away.

(All lighting guys and anyone who has been in an apple store and paid close attention would agree)

How exciting!

explanation for the rest of us..?

edit: added quote, damn - why does there always have to be somebody talking on a completely different subject with a faster trigger finger than me? ;)

hey, i just woke up and am at my job... any ideas where i should head for entertaining streaming news of MWSF? keep in mind i;m in Toronto.

Don't get your hopes up.

Simply because people are expecting Intel iBooks, PowerBooks, Mac Minis, even Plasma Displays. And that's the half of it.

I'm hoping that there will be a few of these. If all of them happy it'll be amazing, but don't expect then all.

I'd guess that there will be an Intel based iBook, varying configurations.
I'm also thinking that there will be new or updated displays as well.
And maybe a new Mac Mini, or similar system.
Software updates will be the rest of the talk.

Dunno how I'd feel about getting a revision A intel system from Apple. Maybe Intel will have done a lot of work with them to ensure it is done right though.

Sweet.

Not for me. I'm working nights at the moment so am about to hop into bed. Decided that it would be nice to watch the keynote unseen and be surprised by everything but that means avoiding the rumour sites all night as I shall have to leave for work before 7 and if the presentation starts at 5pm our time it isn't going to be on the web before 7. Damn, i want to know what will be released but I'd love to watch the keynote without knowing what is coming.

Off to bed now. Here's hoping i can hold out.

You unlucky thing.

I think I'll stick with the MacRumors updates, although I hope they flesh them out a bit more than the usual 'Steve talks about the new iBook' terse commentary.
