CPW - now preordering for delivery on the 11th online...

It's really strange how some people's orders have moved on and others have not. I'm wondering if they are doing the store pick up orders first to get them to the stores on time and then do the home deliveries. I could be totally wrong. I ordered mine for home delivery, did you ?

I did yes as my other half's iPhone is coming directly from o2 so we need to be home.

I just wish they'd give me some info, I don't overly mind if it's not gonna be here till Monday or whatever but I know they said they oversold/ran out fo stock and I just don't want to wait a week or two, it probably would have been easier to queue on Friday *sigh*
 
I feel your pain too arcsbite at the lack of communication. I know my order number off by heart now. I keep typing it in willing the status to change. Well we will know this time tomorrow if it has not been dispatched on the tracking we can def assume it will not arrive Fri and then go out to the shops
 
Okay

Got an email finally, and have moved on to Stage 3.

Citylink Tracking number doesn't work, however.

Hope All the Stage 1 people get sorted soon.

thing is, can we still get one at the stores?
I'm guessing CPW will have done credit checks, and maybe even debit money for the phone, that was the actual store wouldn't allow a second phone

so confused.....wish I was a Motorola fan
 
Earlier today I was pretty confident that my 16GB was going to be delivered to me on Friday, got my order in on Monday at 11:53, so I think it must have been one of the first orders, it went to Stage 2 later Monday afternoon... but I've still not had the e-mails that others seem to have received today...

And like somebody else said, if I've got a "live" order with CPW, I can't see me being able to go into a CPW or O2 store on Friday to buy one over the counter.

I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that they're sending the e-mails/texts out in batches, but I would have though ordering so early I would have received one of the first e-mails? :(
 
Did anyone else's card get stopped after a payment to CPW? I couldn't use it for the past two days till I called up my bank and found out they assumed there was a fraudulent payment that went forward to CPW. Sorted it now.

What a long winded and convoluted situation just to buy a phone!
 
Mine's reached stage 3... Tracking number not working here either though...

and there was me getting all excited thinking it might arrive a day early :D
 
Tracking number still not working this morning for me.

Has anyone managed to download iTunes 7.7? The download site seems to ne experiencing problems (could have something to do with the millions of 3G pre-orderers all trying to download at once).
 
Just phoned up - gave original transaction number - turns out they had my address and name in the wrong box ??

cancelled and re-did over the phone - all done onto step 2 delivery by 5PM Friday

YEAHHHHHHH

even got a free case out of them :D
 
CPW accepting new orders again

..online now. I'm at stage 3 from a Monday order (no CityLink tracking until after delivery I think, though)
 
Just phones CPW again as despite being one of the first orders, I've still not received a despatched/tracking e-mail. Bloke said yes, it looked as if it should be with me tomorrow, but then asked if I had provided a PAC code to transfer my number, which I had. He then put me on hold for several minutes which had me sweating as I wondered if they wouldn't send the phone until the PAC had gone through, but then he came back on the line and told me I'd definately be receiving my iPhone tomorrow...

Not sure I can take much more of this! I'd be much happier if I had my tracking e-mail.

P.S. iTunes 7.7 (Mac) downloaded and installed no problems
 
I had a similar conversation - i'm still at stage 2 but rang up and he said i'd definitely receive delivered to my local shop tomorrow.
