Out of interest out of those who have moved to stage 2 is there anyone who has requested store pickup?

I was wondering if the home vs store delivery Is a deciding factor here. With home delivery they have proof of address by the delivery itself but with store delivery they might require additional ID?

I had to fax proof of address (found out only after phoning - no emails) and hopefully it should move to stage 2 in a minute.
 
So not satisfied with the asnwer I got last night (saying I would get one on friday), I rang back this morning only to be told that beacuse my order was still on stage 1, I WON'T be getting my iPhone on friday, monday at the earliest!!!:mad:

FFS, I ordered mine at 12.05pm yet people who ordered hours after me seem to be getting there's? What's going on?:confused:
 
Oh what fun! Just got an email from CPW saying they had problems with my card and had to phone in. Then the chap said that I couldn't get my phone till Tuesday or with Special delivery for an extra £10 for Saturday.

Then I told them that it was probably easier for me to go into a store to get it. Then he told me that all the phones were pre ordered and sold and went on to try and convince me that they were the only ones that could provide me with a phone

Now I'm not going to give any of my hard money to CPW, bunch of cowboys. If I can't get one for Friday I'll just all bloody wait and get it later. The more I think about it the less I want to deal with CPW.

I'm on stage 2 and having it delievered to the store. However i was one of the of the people whose order was cancelled due to the 'security problem' - essentially they claimed the bank had stopped the payment. I rang up and the man on the phone re-ordered it for me and payment went through.
 
I have opted to have the iphone delivered to my local CPW and I am at stage 2 at the moment.

I did use a debit card though and not a credit card which probably has diferent levels of security attached with the transaction.

It seems that a lot of people have had problems using their credit cards to pay the phone as CPW seem to have taken the rather strange policy of trying to take 1p for your cards before taking the full amount. This seems to have allerted the fraud teams at some of the credit card companies who have then blocked the main transaction. Why CPW had to carry out this '1p check' on your credit cards in the first place I don't know.

It all does smell a bit fishy though...
 
Mines being home delivered, and i'm on stage 2. Had no problems with payment as I used a debit card.

All seems alright so far. I even ordered after they went out of stock; I added one to my basket at about 12pm and didn't actually order it until 5:30pm.

Its been 2 Days since I ordered a 3G iphone with CPW.

I ordered a 16gb Iphone with a new contract online at 13.08 on the 07-Aug-08

I chose to get it delivered to my home.

I used a Credit card. No problems with the transaction being stopped.

I've been at stage 2 since Monday at 16:00.

I'm wearing my "I LUV Steve Jobs" Y-fronts.

blimey - O2/CPW are asking to see my passport now. This is ridiculous, I wish I'd ordered through O2 direct.
 
Just spoke to a sales assistant at CPW, and they had all my details, but no transaction on record :confused:

They're gonna contact me later (apparently :p)

You're doing better than me! I ordered at 12:26 on Monday, store delivery. Still at stage 1
 
I phoned again (5th time) and got told that my address was wrong and that now that was sorted it should go onto stage 2. It hasnt :<

I feel your pain! For those of us still on stage 1 this is now getting ridiculous. How come I can place an order at 12.05pm and not get allocated one when others palced at 4.00pm and got one?

Think I'm gonna try and head down to a CPW store on friday morning and bag one. Do they open at 9am? Or earlier?
 
I went into CPW yesterday and told me that they were thinking of opening at 0900 but he wasn't very keen to come in that early! Also they had a delivery coming in at 0930 on the Friday.
 
If you're on were put on stage 2 on Monday, should you be getting your iPhone on Friday?

Anyone know which courier CPW are using?
