In a coffee shop.
Just an observation: I daresay this has been noticed and addressed already, - clearly, it has, as the forums are up and running again - but the forum crashed completely both today (May 17) and yesterday (May 16).

During that time, any attempt to gain access to the forum was impossible.

A separate issue is that I have noticed that the forums are sometime very slow, and drop, and hang, especially if alerts are posted.

This collapse - or crash - appears to be threatening again; there are several sub-fora where access seems a bit unstable, or stuttering, and I am receiving the same sort of error messages concerning Xenforo that I received earlier today when the crash happened.

Yesterday, I was simply denied access.

What time(s) did you have these issues? Also what device was this on, and have you tried using a different Internet browser?

Try to clean cookies, cache and browser history.

Also try a different browser or even device.

Again, access to the actual forums section of the site is stuttering, stalling and seizing up. In a word, pretty slow.

Thanks for the suggestions. Have done so, and while there has been some improvement, access - and stability - are still somewhat uneven.

Performance in the forums this morning is abhorrent, very frustrating to sit and wait for it to load.

Edit: It seemed to have started around 6:30am EST, before that, everything was fine.

Well, it crashed completely a few minutes ago - and error messages were displayed.

Indeed, both the actual site, as well as the forums (when the site finally allowed entry) had crashed. And access is very slow, and erratic.

I appreciate this this is being addressed - I am not complaining, merely reporting what I have experienced.

Another thing I have noticed is especially striking today: Freezing, and stalling which leads to (inadvertent) duplicate posting.

If it helps any, these were taken Tues. I had a similar message (pretty sure the same) on Thurs. Unfortunately, I don't have a screenshot.

Woah, Admins.

May wanna disable detailed error display asap. That is an incredible security oversight.

Just had that, too, a few minutes ago, along with a total crash.

Error messages - twice - flashed up on screen, as I was composing a post, and then, the system completely denied entry, and the standard MR Error message 'our engineers are fixing it'...came up.

The site has stalled, and hung, and frozen, a few times this evening, especially when I was trying to post.

The practical upshot is a marked increase in the number of duplicate posts (I have since deleted the duplicated posts).

My experience is that I've seen infrequent error messages and mostly the forums work ok. In the mornings, I usually access with my iPad. Any time the forum seems to drag, I'm wondering if it's my iPad, my ISP, the Internet in general or MRs. ;)

On my iPad, when things get bad in this regard, like @Meister suggested, I clear my Safari History and website data (Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data. I make sure that I don't have 10+ apps open in the background, restart it or do a hard reset (hold the Home+ Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously).

Just wished to flag - or mention - that the forums are a bit wobbly again tonight, crashing, offering error messages, and stalling and freezing at times.

Site has crashed on me at least 5 times in the last 30 minutes. I had copied the info it gave me about the database but I accidentally removed it from my copy/paste clipboard before I got this post done. :(

Well, at least three error massages - one is bright red - another on a white background - flashed up this evening in the 30 or so minutes.

Besides, it has been slow and less than stable, too.
