I purchased an open box 17" MBP for $2099. Got it three weeks ago and have up to 45 days to return. i wouldn't mind spending the extra $400 to get a 17" MBP with an i7 Quad-Core Chip. That baby would fly!

What Mac reseller has a 45 day return policy? Apple is 10 days, BestBuy is 15, Amazon and Microcenter 30 days. Who offers 45 days?

Is there any hope for 3g on a MBP? Another site briefly mentioned it but that was the first I had heard such news? Maybe with a shared plan with the ipad?

And I have been watching Microcenters "stock on hand" off their website slowly dwindle to around 15 units from normally more than 100.......so I guess we will see soon.

Maybe, but then you'd have to wait 3-6 months after every one else gets their new machine so the FCC can approve it.

I very much doubt it.

Apple Store Drenched With Ultra Cheap Refurbs

The refurb section of the Apple Store just got updated with all kinds of refurb macbook pros. I've been checking periodically for the last month and I haven't seen anything like it. There's some crazy cheap deals too.
Who needs some i7-620m and badarze GPU packin silver unibody freshness?

i got some tax return money burning a whole in my pocket..... was going to mac store saturday... could it be that the new models are in stock by then, or will i just get cheaper prices

im sorry, was that sarcasm? I'm not really seeing the deals..

if it has a 2.66GHZ processor as the base..i wont be getting it. I have the late 2009 2.53GHZ 15 inch model...

It could also be possible that it could have the i5-750 or 750S, which are quad-core chips.

Although, knowing Apple, it'll only be the i5-520 or 540 in the 13.3 and low-end 15.

Since selling my first MBP (unibody '08) since the powerbook G4 days after the iPad announcement I'm simply waiting until Apple releases its baby. C'mon bring on tomorrow (where I am, 'tomorrow' is already today dangit!)

So someone from BestBuy corporate DOES read MacRumors (re: GeekBench postings)

i'm not normally like this but ..

OMG PLEAZE UPDATE TEH 13" MBP !!!

yuck. that felt weird.

anyway, my 12" PB 1.33 GHz is nearly 6 years old. It's been a trusty workhorse but battery #2 is shot, it's running on 10.4, and I'm ready to buy the next 13" MBP. Mmm, delicious unibody.

although, there's nothing really wrong with the 12" PB. it still works fine. I'd like to see a 6 year old Dell say the same.
