Has there been any reasonably reliable hints or information about the GPU? Do you think apple will use the integrated GPU in the arrandale processors combined with a dedicated one? I know that most of the current PCs using the arrandale chips with dedicated GPUs are not able to switch back and forth to conserve power, but instead use the dedicated one exclusively. Can apple do it, or would they even want to? Might save lots of power, 10hrs a charge...?

Because of the unbearable lateness of Apple I had to trade my old Macbook for a Vaio i'm not so unhappy with.

If it's just a regular casual update ie. they just put in some i5 or worse, i3 and do some minor memory/ram updates of course people will be and should be disapointed, not only because they took TOO long to release new MBP but also given the expensive costs of an MBP it's and investment on 2 or 3 years at least.
However if they do a powerful update, it may be worth it.

By the way everyone's talking tech spechs but do you think there will be a redesign/refinemnent or even maybe make it thinner ?

8 months is too long ?

Unbearable lateness ?

macbook air update with MBP updates?

Does anyone care to speculate on whether the macbook air would be updated at the same time as MBP updates (whether they are tomorrow or later)?

Cheers

Referencing the buyer's guide, I think it's very likely that the Air will be updated at the same time as the MBP.

Not 100% sure but I thought that there was a slight delay on the Low Voltage CPUs that the MBA would use.

No way, if you check the website, the mac mini is still labeled "new"

Hmmm. Not now. The "New" tags on the Mini, Macbook and the iMac have gone!

Stating the [hopefully] obvious here in that...perhaps that is so the "New" tag on the MBP stands out???

They sneaked that change!

Ughh...ignore me. It's still there. I was looking at the Mac page, not the Store page. Doh!

I still see them? :(

I don't understand how anyone who knows about macrumors.com would go ahead and buy a C2D model then get upset that updates are coming.
