what did you say back?

I said that I would definitely like to buy a MBP, but am not willing to buy it now if updates will come soon. So he said that he does not know about updates.
Then I replied if he has any hint that he could give me. His answer was that the public knows about updates the same time he knows about it. :)

I really do think that is true. Apple is very good at keeping product updates under wraps until they are ready for a release. Sit tight everyone! It has to come sooner or later :apple:

if your gonna buy a mac, always buy it through the apple store and useally the day they come on the store u can order them right away, except with the 27 inch imacs you have to wait like 3 weeks dunno y

But what about being able to buy it at an Apple Retail Store on the day the announcement is made?

The June 09 model was ready to ship the day it was announced i believe. It may be a few days after until the stores get them

Good morning!

This wait is killing me. Can someone tell me, on past MBP updates/refreshes, were the new computers available to buy on the day of the announcement, or was there a delay between the announcement and the product being available for purchase? Thanks!

For the most part they are available the same day. Of course if you order online it will take a few days to get to you. If you go to an Apple store they usually have them the next day. I always purchase from an Apple retail store. It is much easier to return it for whatever reason if necessary.

3weeks ago he said the update is over 3 weeks.(i think)
you mean he sad every week next week, next week, next week..

I'm just referring to the general vibe of everyone here....we keep hoping / waiting / thinking it's coming any week now and when they don't show up, we just keep hoping it's next week...

I dont know if this means anything but I received an email from amazon trying to get me to buy the MBA Rev C for 1600 new, and 1500 refurbished. Could this mean they are trying to get rid of stock, and we may see a MBP and MBA update at same time? Can't wait to go to the dark side!

looked on amazon uk and only 1 13inch mbp left in stock....

I hope this is not true, I have been waiting since last Oct. to buy the new MBP as my first MBP ever. I cannot wait one more month XD

smells like the iPad to me.....it would be like Apple to say 60 days conservatively and release it slightly early. If that was the case, we should expect an announcement from AAPL soon building the hype by saying that the iPad is releasing early.

Although it just occurs to me that BBY isn't necessarily going to be selling the iPad when it's first released...only AAPL and perhaps ATT. So that would shoot my whole argument in the foot.

Just a short note, don't know if it means anything:

I saved my cart one week ago on the German Apple online store. I put in a 13" MBP. And today I got an email by an Apple employee asking me if I am still interested in buying it. Because otherwise they would delete it.
As I said, I don't know if it means anything, I just wanted to let you know about it!
Maybe they ask, because they want to do the updates?!? :)

That was your cue to say, "Well, I was going to but with the options I want I can't quite afford it. Now, if you could make me an offer...;)" Someone I know did this and when Apple called, got a nice deal. I'm going to try and do it too, if I can, but I'm not sure it'll work too well on a new release in limited supply.

Cheers,

jahman

End of life for sure. Amazon just changed the pricing from xxxx.99 to xxxx.00. Hope the new machines are worth it or I'll just go for a discounted outgoing machine.

EDIT: Only applies to the 13"
