If this is accurate it is pretty compelling that at the very least the products are nearly to a finished state of development, which would suggest updates are coming sooner rather than later. Apple wouldn't want to have a new product sitting on a warehouse shelf for long when it could be selling it. The longer it sits there the more time for competing technologies to creep up and the argument for the high price becomes harder to win with already outdated tech.
Intel's releasing the new chips, lots to support the new MP line, it would make sense to see an update of the entire professional line of mac products at once featuring the new chips and functionality that elevates the "mac experience" to one higher than a PC running the same chips.
