But could that man have bought 2 Xboxes all by himself? What were the rules?

If no, then that is lame. If yes, her being there didn't change anything.

My entire rationale for allowing my wife to join me in line is that I can buy a second iPhone whether she's there or not.

they both bought 4 xbox and there were no xbox left.

Sam's has no limit on how many you can buy.

So a few friends of mine are going to the Apple Store at 12pm tomorrow hoping to be first.

If they don't show up until noon, they won't be anywhere near first in line anyway, and based on past experience, if they show up that late and the line is long enough, there might not be any phones left to sell any of you.

And if I were in line in front of your friends, and you waltzed up to join them, and I got the last iPhone, I would come back out and do a little dance right in front of you.

People who cut suck, whether or not they're with friends.

Or just have your friends tell the few people behind you that you will be coming at a certain time, just so they are prepared.

It's just like black Friday though, everyone hates when they've been waiting all night and have people cut right before the store opens.

The one time I waited in line it would not have been a big deal.

Especially if you show up that night instead of the next morning.

What? Your rationale is garbage because you plus your additional person can now buy 4 phones.

Wozniak often shows up at a local Apple Store on launch day and cuts right to the front of the line. No one ever complains.

So, the answer is yes, you can cut in an Apple Store line without any fear of reprisal ... if you're Steve Wozniak.

Why would I buy 4 phones?

I need a phone and my wife needs a phone. I can buy 2 or we can each buy 1.

That equals 2 phones no matter how you do it.

The person behind you in line doesn't know that. You can buy 2 phones and so can she. I thought your premise was that it's a limit of 2 phones per person.

OP, which Apple store do you plan on cutting line I want to read the news online in your town the following day to see if you were beaten over the head with a 1st or 2nd generation iPad.

Bottom line is ask yourself how you feel if it was done to you. You know you would be mad and say it was unfair if they ran out of the phone right before you walked in. There you were waiting like the others and the line cutter gets there later and gets a phone and you don't.

Tell me honestly you wouldn't be mad at that person who did not wait in line like you did. Only exception I would make is for handicapped and our military.

What about a deaf, handicapped, military, hemophiliac? You'd HAVE to let them cut.

If I were you, I would just stand next to your friends on the sidewalk yacking for 4 or 6 hours. After that long people will forget you weren't always in line, especially by the time they start handing out cards.
