Pay me $2500 (like some guy did to exchange his 2nd place to 1st! in NY) and you can most definitely cut in front of me else be prepared to die biatch!!! :p

find a homeless guy, pay him at least min. wage per hour and bring him lunch and/or booze when you get there.

Karma is a bitch. Hope you get your ass kicked if you cut in otherwise.

The person behind you in line doesn't know that. You can buy 2 phones and so can she. I thought your premise was that it's a limit of 2 phones per person.

OP, which Apple store do you plan on cutting line I want to read the news online in your town the following day to see if you were beaten over the head with a 1st or 2nd generation iPad.

:D Exactly.

Honestly, just be respectful and don't be a jerk to others. Wait your turn and line up at the back when you get there.

Just because others do it does not make it right.

The Apple store near me always has at least 2-4 policeman in front of the store for launch day. You can be assured that if anyone skips, the police will be happy to escort you back to your car.:D

What if you just rubbed dog crap all over yourself? I bet people would get out of line voluntarily.

That would be like spitting or spraying body fluids on someone - would probably get you arrested for assault.

Wish my Apple store did the same

How is line cutting illegal?? It may be unsavory.. but unless someone gets into a fist fight, why would the cops arrest someone for cutting a line? OTOH, Apple may refuse to serve the line-jumper, but I don't think they would have the bandwidth to care.

It's not illegal but mall security just tells them to either go to the back of the line or leave.

On the past iphone launches and the boards here were fiercely positive.

This launch however has created infighting between the Sixers and the Plussers. Judging by this fact and the extreme shortage of some iPhone combinations, 1 person in front of you may make the difference in whether you walk away happy or pissed.

Remember this if your friends cut in line because there WILL be fights over this and some people are going to have security tell them to leave without anything.

Its an apple prelaunch line you dont think some of the gays would be like "NOPE back of the line your powers dont work on us"

Yeah its an Apple prelaunch line at 8 PM the night before. My guess is that most of the people there are breeders.

I went to the iPhone 4 launch, and someone cut the line an hour before the store opened. 2 dudes right behind him beat him into a seizure. And then to top it off, nobody tried to stop them. You have to ask yourself: "Is this phone worth getting killed over?"

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm lining up before my brother.. However, since Apple usually has a 2 phone limit, I'm going to let the people behind me know right away that I'm either getting 2 phones by myself, or my brother is waiting with me and we're getting 1 phone each. It really won't make a difference to them but hopefully they'll be understanding and cool about it.

So a few friends of mine are going to the Apple Store at 12pm tomorrow hoping to be first. I don't get off work and school until 8pm. I was originally going to Verizon by my house by obviously I'll have a greater chance on getting what I want at the source.

My friends want me to meet them after I get off so it'll be around 9pm. Can I cut in line and wait with them if I get there late and there's a hundred people behind? Will people be butt hurt and start yelling or is this normal during this event?
Not that I would ever dream of queuing from an iPhone, but I would be very annoyed if somebody joined their friends in the queue in front of me. Its rude and cheeky and I have no doubt you'll get some abuse for it.

If people do it to me in a pub, I inform them I have been waiting longer and for them to get behind me. When you consider Apple only have a certain amount of units on sale, you will potentially be preventing somebody else further back in the queue from receiving their device. That is bad if they have been there for several hours longer than you. Don't do it :)

wasnt people paying homeless people last year for the 5s to queue for them? Read about it here on the forums last year

if i had been waiting in line from 3AM and someone let their friends push in, i think myself and others would be highly P****D OFF! although its not illegal it would be kind of the security at Apple to let them know where the back of the queue is!

Maybe I am selfish but I would be very unhappy after waiting in line for hours to have some jerk join his friends. If everyone in front of you allowed a friend or two in line, you would be pissed, too!

Jest keep checking with your friends on how long the line is getting and if there is only a couple of people behind them when you get there just ask them if it's cool if you join your friends. Most people would be ok if you are not to far back in the line. But if it's a long line just say hi to your friends as you walk by to the back of the line,

Security will be watching but not as close as the people in line, I always find the lines at our local store self regulate and line jumpers most times get escorted to the back of the line.

If your buying unlocked just give the cash to your friend that's already in line and have him buy it for you if he is only getting one or like some one suggested ask some one to stand in your place and then exit the line when you get there .
