Thanks the spoiler. All I want to do is to save up money to buy awesome jumps. I am happy with the motorcycle and am, not bothered about buying cars.

However, I am wondering whether not buying cars will prevent certain rewards or missions from being unlocked.

Is the power jump awesome?
It's completely awesome. I was really hesitant about dropping so much cash and was ready to reload if I felt it wasn't worth it. Once I got outside and tried it I knew I was keeping it.

I get so tired of people messaging me about cars. I'm not spending my money on that!

Encountered a second glitch:

So when you accrue Johnny silverhands handgun, it’s one of the most powerful guns in the game, with basically is a ‘one-shot-one-kill type of scenario. However, all of a sudden it disappeared from my inventory and it’s not in my last save file. So, I reported it, even though I’m just outside the patch of 1.05. (Which I downloaded after-the-fact).

Bummer.

Ok, so since I acquired the jump
So which is better, Reinforced Tendons or Fortified Ankles

Also regarding the spoiler you posted, if I didn't meet him yet (I'm assuming a side or main quest will bring me in to contact), will that epic item be available? I can check myself but I'm working right now, so I'll have to wait ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't know which one is better because with the epic one you get the best of both worlds. I "jumped" straight to epic with my first jump purchase.

I encountered Fingers the ripperdoc on a quest when Judy and I were looking for Evelyn. I went back when the quest over and bought it from him. Even if you didn't get that quest maybe you could go see if he's available to buy things?

Here's his location:

Ok, so since I acquired the jump already I went ahead and watched this video. What it doesn't mention is that there is a better jump, the epic version (the ones he lists are rare). I don't like posting spoilers but this is important.

Make sure that you do NOT slap the creepy ripperdoc called Fingers when you encounter him in a mission. If you do apparently he won't sell you the epic jump later.
I currently have 80k eddys...
I wasn't the the person that slapped the creepy ripperdoc.

So I'm finally back in the game and there's three options a Rare fortified tendons., a rare fortified ankles and a third epic fortified ankles. I currently am just over 70k of eddys for the epic version. While it looks awesome at 75k that seems too expensive at least right now. I did a save just before entering the ripperdoc and I may see what the rare fortified tendons do for me

Meanwhile I'm over here "TAKE MY MONEY". I emptied my wallet to get it. :D

I think that I picked the correct life path. I've spent the last two days completely out of the city living that nomad life in the badlands. I'm getting so much good loot and money just doing side quests.

Good tip. I am doing the nomad path but haven't spent time in the badlands since the intro. Will revisit the badlands tonight.

I did a save game as I mentioned and I tried both the tendons and ankles and right now given my game play I think the 45k of eddys is better left in my account - at least for now

Very clever. I will do the same, save before making big purchases and try each option against a group of criminals before proceeding with a mission.

I do that all the time, I forget what some gamers call it, but it seems for some "gaming purists" its a no-no they feel you make a decision you have to live by it. I used to do that sort of thing all the time with fallout 4. Either by tying to get past a dialog check or try different things that cannot easily be undone.

Totally trivial and I don’t suspect this is a spoiler, but you can ride the roller coaster in the game once it’s rigged. (It’s actually pretty cool.)

Also, one thing I’m noticing is the smallest of details in this game, and when you ride the motorcycle, you can actually physically see your character switching gears on the motorcycle handle with every shift. CDPR went the extra mile with minute details, but admirable.

That is so not me! :D I've reloaded so many times because of a bad decision/outcome.

I just snuck into somewhere I wasn't supposed to be to steal a legendary weapon and the jumping ability was crucial.

I got tired of having a terrible sniper rifle after 40 hours so I watched this video. I've had a lot of fun grabbing that first gun!

You have no idea how accurate that is!
I have managed to loot a few legendary weapons from a petrol station. However I cannot use the weapons yet.

Tonight I will resume doing side missions and the main story to up my level.

A few hours ago I fought a group of criminals. One of the guys was strange. 100 bullets didn't kill him. I had to give him 29 machete chops before he died. It wasn't worth it as there was nothing but a worthless pistol to loot from him.

It's a bummer when I find one that requires high stats in something I know I won't be spending points on.

110k eddys, and still can't pull the trigger on the epic fortified ankles... LOL just a few more side missions.:p

I'm already back to having 90k back in my wallet. Those side quests and hacking rack up the money. Plus jumping up high onto roofs, ledges, or windows makes me do some of the quests much more quickly now.

1.05 on Series X :(

This patch appears to be a step back. I am now experiencing pop-in. Rendering of textures on cars is extremt noticeable.

Some look like N64 textures and render in detail as the cars are closer to my character.

It doesn't affect gameplay but is off putting.
