What Blades perks do you have? Mantis blades is almost like a one shot kill... not even fair to pick these up free early in the game.
I think I have a perk. Don't remember which one. I am at level 9 btw.

I wonder whether CDPR will tweak the weapon balance for online gameplay. I reel like some guns are useless. As in some criminals can happily absorb 30 bullets without dying.

On the other hand, mantis blade + fortified ankles makes you invincible.

There is a plethora of video on YouTube showing all the GTA games beating CP in multiple categories. You’re right, this is the CP2077 thread, but it’s hard not to bring up just how good a Rockstar game is. RDR2 runs on my PS4 slim and puts this game to shame. The animals in RD are smarter than the NPCs in CP.
Yup, I watched those videos.😁

There’s actually a really good comparison video where they show some cactuses in Cyberpunk and the same scenario in RDR2, and they show the effects how much more detailed it is in RDR2 with damage to the cactus with limbs falling off versus ‘flake rendering’ used in Cyberpunk [Which is Just basically just recycled shards of the cactus flying off from the gun blast]. Cyberpunk has a lot of extensive detail, but there’s a reason Rockstar is king and always has been.

I think where Cyberpunk really shines, is the level of detail with the vehicles, the buildings, the lighting effects can be really extravagant at times.

[I do agree the animals in RDR2 are smarter than the NPC’s in C.P.]

Well said. The movement of NPCs in CP is wooden and a bit Alpha like.

It will be interesting to see how the game evolve graphically over time. Last night I played on my 65 inch TV for the first time 10 days and was reminded how stunning the inner city looks.

However, I was also dissapointed my just how much better the game looks on the TV then my recently purchased gaming monitor. The problem is that my partner is currently hogging the TV watching gossip girl in the evenings :(

I will likely buy smaller 4k HDR TV next year that's just for gaming.

I was just in a mission and overheard the bad guys telling each other to be on the lookout for a guy in a white jacket, which is what I was wearing. Love little details like that!

I've read an explanation by some übernerd on the technicalities between GTA5 & CP2077 and in short it explained that GTA5/RDR2 use loads and loads of predefined things. Like shadows or damage to stuff. They are all defined in advance and that's why they look nice. CP2077 renders everything on the spot, even the cutscenes, so that's stressing your hardware a lot more since it's not showing "a movie" but a "live event". CP2077 will need some more powerful hardware to show it's true colors and I feel for the people playing it on the now previous generation of consoles and get why they are angry as CDPR marketed the games to work fine on that generation of hardware, which it obviously doesn't.
When Rockstar chooses to let GTA VI render everything on the spot, then we'll see who's the "king". (and personally I don't give a flying fudge who that might be, as long as all those studio's push each other do keep pushing the limits)

Makes me think of the RDR2 pc release ;-)

Although I see your point, it’s not mutually related, at all. Because we’re talking about the issue with console versions, not PC. Rockstar/GTA is heavily favored on the console and was true to form for its demos, with the PC being the later of the release, but they didn’t struggle with the problems that Cyberpunk does on any level.

Anyways, I’m not here to compare/contrast Cyberpunk versus Red dead, but there are significant differences of what plagued C.P., Fortunately we live in a world where we can still have patches that rectify most of these problems, that make the game enjoyable enough long-term for those who actually appreciate the core gameplay. I mean, that’s what it’s really all about, am I right.

Oh, and competition is a good thing. 😁

There will be plenty of patches and upgrades going forward.

60fps, DirectML, DLSS, nVME drives, Raytracing and HDR are substantial advancements that previous gen games did not have to optimise for.

Have you ever played ‘No man’s Sky’? I bought that game when it released in 2016 on day one, (and I’m sure you recall some of my posts I’ve mentioned Cyberpunk is very much like NMS, it crashed, was not depicted true to its form how it was marketed, lackluster, and they [Hello Games] continually have provided years of updates, and it’s so much better than it ever was. And that’s exactly how I envision Cyberpunk, I would say with at least a year maturity under the belt before they can gain more respect from the majority of gamers who lost trust in CDPR.

I agree with one thing that CDPR said back when the game released, they said “Give us a chance to make it right”, which I agree with, but not everyone will be so level-headed.

Yes. I played it on my Series X but not in 2016 when it launched.
The idea is No Mans sky was categorically one of the worst launches ever, where they had lawsuits even pending given the false marketing. And just within the last 15 minutes, I was watching a video on YouTube by channel known as ‘Gameranx’, [Very well respected, known gaming community channel with over 6 million subscribers] and it was ranked one of the best games by fans for 2020 in terms of initial improvements, even after four years post-launch. That’s crazy to see where it once was and where it now is.

I enjoyed single player GTA V but I don't remember architecture nearly as intricate as parts of Night City. Jig Jig Street has a large roundabout with cars driving around it. In the center is that big building with a net runner store in it. To reach it you have to climb some interconnected ramps that go up to it. But there's also a staircase that goes down into a large street market. In that market there's an elevator that you can take up for a quest. All of that you can reach without any loading screens once you get there.

Graphics wise, it CP2077 is beautiful... I am enjoying the game, but to be honest, bugs are getting more annoying the longer I play. Most don't hinder gameplay... and was funny in the beginning, but now it's not funning anymore. The police, the dumb scared NPC's, cars blowing up, or stopping on the road for no reason.... I do like the road rage drivers though... haha. It won't stop me from playing and enjoying the game... still having a blast customizing 'V'... but still learning and hesitant where to invest my attributes and perks. Currently fine with my build... I can handle "Danger: High" missions 90% of the time without dying with the installed Cyberware I'm using, but I'm sure I could boost it more. I'm less the 20% away from Level 26, seems like my Street Creds are maxed. It won't go above 50%. I have 200k+ eddys, 5 unused Attribute points, 26 unused perk points... and I still haven't done much of the mains story. I'm guessing that Levels increase faster during the main story? Since my Street Credit's aren't going up, I think it's time to play the mains story now... lol...

I’m going to say the same thing for this game as I did for The Last of Us, Part 2...The soundtrack is one of my favorite things from the game. I found a video on YouTube of the “unreleased” TLOU2 soundtrack and there was one track that stood out above the rest. Cyberpunk also has that ”standout” track for me, and thankfully it’s on the released soundtrack so you don’t have to dig for it like I had to for TLOU2.

“Bells of Laguna Bend”. I could listen to it all day!

Yes. You level up pretty much after finishing a main story mission.

What have you mostly been doing? NCPD jobs and side missions?

In my next run of the game I will spend more time building my character so that I can complete missions as a netrunner. I am very keen on hacking and cyberware.

The first thing I will do is to kill a police to get their stick and then get enough money to have a katana sword as early in the game as possible.

I've been trying to figure out what build works for me. I've been doing ncpd, side/gig missions making eddys and going to ripperdocs. I really suck at fps games, so I've been playing with cyberware and quick hacks.
I got the Netwatch Netdriver MK.5 ledgendary and playing with quick hacks. I paired that with ballistic arms + smart link with tranquiller mod for clean up. Wish I had this cyberware for my 1st netrunner side mission... had no choice but to kill him or be killed... hahaha
I've been testing and practicing my cyberware build and hacks in City Center/Heywood area. I am okay 90% of the time with Danger: High... but still die on Danger: Very High. I think I'm going to concentrate on my Intelligence and Technical Ability attributes when I level up on the main mission. I want to craft all my favorite guns, cyberware and hacks to legendary. In a way... I'm learning more about this game from all these little side missions I've been doing. Plus with the holidays, family, and stuff... I can only play so much... so the side missions are refreshers... lol.

Today I bit the bullet and watched a couple of different builds on YouTube. I recommend you and others to do the same. :)

Non of them spoiled the games as it's clear that finding a legendary weapon won't make you a superhero. What will, is the combination of skills with very specific weapons or play styles.

High end players of katana swords or mantis blades spend all their perks on reflex and cool for the weapon/game style to be most effective.

The perk strategy for stealth, hacking, pistols, fists of rifles is completely different.

You need to commit to the path during character creation as your build might require spending all perks in just two areas until level 20-25.

As I said at the beginning, the videos of builds don't spoil the game as you can complete the game without pursuing a specific build.

I am VERY annoyed with myself for completely ignoring the "body" tree because I'm a netrunner. It has a "pack mule" perk that you could unlock from the beginning of the game that lets you carry so much more.

Although I am enjoying Cyberpunk I have to say that it feel more like a shooter than a RPG game.

Character customisation is completely disconnected from the game and the clothes are a mess.

90% of time, my character looks like a clown because the default is to wear the pieces of clothing that have the highest armour - see my character below.

Dialogues feel like...dialogues with transactional gives and asks. In story extensions and future upgrades I would like to see genuine conversations and relationship building in 3rd party viewing angles.

Basically I am enjoying the story and intellectually stimulating ways to play, but don't feel emotionally attached to V or Nightcity.

They need to let us move stats to whatever piece of clothing we want. I hate when I have to look like a clown.
