Embarrassing. No enhancements, just a litany of bug fixes.
I expected nothing more, patch 1.2 will very likely be the same. Free DLC will add in some baubles like additional weapons and gear. Additional content CDPR will want to monetise as they have well and truly shown their hand happily misleading customers and investors. So having the customer pay more for the cut content originally advertised should come as no surprise...

To be honest I shouldn't expect visual enhancements for the Series X until the second half of 2021 when the native Series X version launch.

Will definitely take CDPR time as Cyberpunk is a PC game ported to the consoles. I think that they will focus on stability and performance as they are on the hook in their home country with the consumer rights organisation, with the potential for significant fines as the game launch was clearly misleading and it remains broken for many.

I also think if you look at the path of the Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 will be similar, hence why I have a very low expectation of the free DLC, expecting far more words than any real substance. I want CDPR to succeed, equally I'd like to see them held to their word on what they advertised as the AAA gaming fundamentally broken from the shabby releases to the shill reviewers who only really serve themselves.

Right now there is near zero accountability in the industry with the customers left to deal with the aftermath, while the companies cash in...

I stopped playing after I leveled to 50 Street Cred 50 and finished all the side quests and available gigs. Still haven't gone past the Heist. I was going to wait for patch 1.1 and 1.2 before playing the main story... but I tried playing a little after applying patch 1.1... just run/drive around the city and shoot some bad guys.

Patch 1.1 added some annoyances for me. First thing... I called for my motorcycle... and it drove right by me. It kept going until it stopped behind a truck that was stopped on the road. I had to run pretty far to catch up to it. Another things I see... that wasn't there before... was lighting changes as I get closer. Like shadows on buildings go away and get brighter when I get closer, same with reflection lighting on cars, and even see lights just turn on as I move forward. when I move back... the lights turn off. It's annoying because it looks like my screen is flickering. I would rather play with bugs than playing with these new annoyances.

Guess I'll wait for the 1.2 patch to see it fixes this issue.

I've got a really weird bug where when I get off of my motorcycle I'll move slowly and if I jump in the air I'll get "stuck" for a few seconds. If I go into the menu and exit it stops.

My fear is that CDPR will compromise the PC gameplay to meet the needs of the lower spec consoles. As for the game is uninstalled as I completed it and will come back to Cyberpunk 2077 when and if it's worthwhile, nor do I think that will be at patch 1.2...

It was working fine before... It's disappointing that something that was working fine... changes from in game bug fixes.

I'd love to see see some significant change as I'm far from a hater of CDPR, owning most of their games. That said CDPR did blatantly mislead it's customers regarding Cyberpunk 2077, especially those that supported CDPR prior to release who did not deserve such a poor game that was advertised/promised as a next gen deep adult RPG in the Cyberpunk universe, not a shallow looter/shooter with gameplay mechanics done better 20 years ago...

I'm all for giving companies "a fair crack of the whip" and CDPR has had it's share. Should they deliver on what they said they advertised/promised, fine. If all we get is a patched up (performance & stability) version of what we have now forget it and any further custom until proven worthy as that's all such companies understand.

TBH I believe that CDPR knew exactly what it was doing, wanting to capitalise on the adult market and also capitalise on the mid teens upwards market, let's face it the sales figures follow through.

Anyone not seen this and playing, played or considering Cyberpunk 2077 should watch and see CDPR is condemned by it own actions & words...
CDPR should be fully ashamed of this mess and make amends with their actions not weak finger pointing apologies and as customer and a player I've every right to be pissed off...

Sorry. I should have been more clear. It's a bug that's been happening for a while. I need to see if the new patch fixes it. Been too busy to play the last few days.

Cyberpunk 2077 is like an ex you had a deep relationship with.

Although you are happy to have moved on, you still care and talk about her.:p:cool:

Bug fixing can be like a game of whack a mole.

Fixing or changing one thing, can cause a new problem or displeasure amongst gamers.

The task at hand for CDPR is not to be underestimated. Some bugs or issues are unique to either Stadia, Xbone, PS4, Series X, PS5 or PC. That is 6 platforms to code and optimise for.

If problems are not resolved quickly I wouldn't be surprised if the DLC is delayed - especially if isn't bug free.

The scope of multiplayer is likely to change and be a PC and next gen exclusive. Supporting previous gen consoles would be a headache and cosy too much time and resources. It's unviable for the CP2077 to drain all of CDPR's resources for the next 6-8 years.

I'm not going to play the game again until all the DLC's are released, assuming the NextGen console patch will be available and most bugs introduced with that patch are ironed out. I really loved the setting of the game but as stated multiple times: there are things they really need to fix, especially because the promised us it would blow other games out of the water, yet doesn't even come close. (NPC AI for example... Night City could be renamed to Retard City)

It's worth pointing out that the next gen version is not patch or scaled iteration of the previous gen version. It will be a a native PS5 and Series X version coded from the ground up.

Correct me if I am wrong, but no such games currently exist yet. Current PS5 or Series X games are either backcompat previous gen games of PS4Pro/XboneS versions running at higher frame rate and resolution.

Not even MS or Sony have released first party open world titles that fully exploit the new consoles.

CDPR will need MS and Sonys helping hand with coding for the new software and hardware. They better release a 48-72h public beta to thoroughly QA the native next gen versions.

Showcase titles like Flight Simulator for xbox or Ratchet and Clank for PS5 will unlikely launch before June. I would therefore not count on CP2077 for Series X or PS5 to be ready before Q3-Q4 2021.

Some new info about Cyberpunk 2077.

Digital copies in December: 10.2m
PC copies sold: 80% of digital copies

Source: Eurogamer

There are 150m~ current and previous gen consoles in existence.

2m digital copies for consoles is not great. I wouldn't be surprised if their internal p&l for each platform version will track negative ROI for the console version until next year.

This week physical copies were discounted by 50% in the USA, suggesting poor sales performance.

A tanked share price and disproportionate resources spent fixing console versions, likely makes CDPR wish thee game only supported PS5, Series X/S and PC.

I spent at least 20 minutes last night trying to figure out what on Earth I was supposed to be scanning in a courtyard for the "Killing in the name of" quest. Turns out the quest is bugged and people suggest reloading an earlier save if it happens to you.

I started a new playthrough today. The biggest change I’ve made compared to my first run...I built my character right off the bat to favor a NetRunner path and will continue to put points into benefitting that direction.

Also, the perk that automatically breaks down junk...NOT USING IT THIS TIME. I missed out on a significant amount of money from items on my first playthrough thanks to that perk 🤦‍♂️

I'm currently the netrunner from hell. It's going to feel so strange not playing that way when I do another character!

Watching AI and animation comparisons like the below, the conclusion is obvious.

It will take at least 12 for CDPR to fix bugsand enhance gameplay.

Their biggest challenge will be what to do with the previous gen versions.

Without any loading screens, there is little headroom for sophisticated animations and clever AI without frame rate suffering.

This is what I want to do. 😂 I mentioned somewhere up in this thread that I want to see just how much I can do without firing a shot. From my first playthrough, I found a few situations where I don't think I'll have a choice (though I thought I read somewhere that this game CAN be done completely through hacks, but don't remember. Honestly, I'm not sure about this though because some shootouts just felt inevitable).

Any recommendations from your build? I completed the prologue, Ripperdoc quest, the quest where you first meet Dex, as well as a few Assault in Progress. Other than that, I didn't have time to go any farther for the day, but I have some points to spend next time I jump on!

I still don't really understand what would have been the "correct" way to upgrade my netrunner powers. I realized I was still using crappy blue ones and jumped straight to legendary ones via crafting.

The cyberpsychosis power is funny. I set it off in a group and let them soften each other up. Then I clean up the rest with contagion. Suicide is super useful when you have to eliminate a target. Have them eliminate themselves. :)

I want the ps5 upgrade!!! It’s never ever going to work on a ps4. Just give us the ps5 upgrade or 3rd person view so I can give this another shot

it is only $30 new at most stores. I see people selling it for $20 used on Craigslist and Facebook market place

sucks the game is being sold for 20 bucks used or I would sell it and buy it when the PS5 version is out.

I really hope they fix the PS4 version of the game downloading to your system when you have the ps5 one. I have deleted FIFA 21 6 times already

Second half of 2021. :(
I would go as far to say Q4 2021 for a "relaunch" of the game.

Console sales for the game are very low and there is a long list of things that need fixed or improved. Not limited to:

Bugs.
Driving mechanics.
NCP AI and movements.
Police AI and chasing.
Damage engine for shooting NCPs.
Animations for damage.
Limited upgradability of clothes that you actually want to wear.

The list is long and much of the above need to be rolled out in an iterative without breaking other parts of the game.

I’ve been wondering, what is CDPR’s next project going to be? Now, if you know anything about projected development, when they’re ready to release a game (As in Cyberpunk for Example), they’re already working on their next title.

A couple of podcasts have stated CDPR was actually working another project, but completely set it aside until Cyberpunk is at its ‘pinnacle and performing optimally’.

Genuinely curious, but I’m just thinking out loud here.
