Looks like the lead gameplay designer is leaving CDPR. I'm not trying to read too much into this, but I do believe its probably really bad news for Cyberpunk.

If they abandoned the game: better be working on that Witcher 3 Next Gen patch then!
If they haven't: I'll be happy to play it with some DLC's, fixed bugs and Next Gen patch.

I really hope they aren't abandoning it. Even in the state it's in, I had a great time with it. Can only imagine how much better that would be when it's running better and things have been added.

I'm considering myself lucky because I played on Xbox One, and didn't run into too many issues. (I've read some horror stories, however)! There were glitches here and there, but never any crashes thankfully. I'd rank the issues I had more towards the "annoyance" end of the spectrum instead of "gamebreaking" or "infuriating". I see potential.

On the PlayStation 5 with the Day One patch: every 2-3 hours a full freeze of the game. Luckily the console rebooted the game fast, so it didn't take long to start playing again, but was annoying if the last autosave was a while before the crash... Default you can add a video/screenshot to the crash report, but Sony disabled it after a week for just CP2077. You can imagine how they got spammed. They removed the game from their store, and it still is missing to this day.

Wow. Yeah, I've heard similar stories to yours. It's interesting to see who deals with what. I definitely feel like my experience is an exception, because if you look strictly at performance (take the missing/cut content out of the equation for now)...if just a few things were polished up just a little bit...my experience would be flawless. But then you hear the flip side and what a dumpster fire other people are experiencing.

Heck, I haven't even experienced the "T-Pose" bug and that's one I sort of wish I did 😂 All the clips I've seen of it have it happening at some of the worst possible times, but some of them were a good laugh!

I was on a serious mission and when I left the bar one of the people outside was doing a T pose. So so strange.

This is the prime issue;

With the player numbers continuously dwindling CDPR will ultimately make a business decision based on the popularity of the game and the risk of running the gauntlet of yet more negative press which they rightly deserve.

Right now I'm playing Mad Max (2015) which is leagues better; the combat is visceral and challenging, the fetch quests link into expanding the lore & story, driving is on point as is the vehicle combat better still, world building is engaging, looting has purpose nor is it excessive, RPG aspects again stack up and work. The game never pulls you out of the emersion and allows the player to explore and unravel the mystery's in their own way and mind.

ACG nails it with his informal discussion on Mad Max.

Maybe CDPR should have looked at Mad Max if they wanted to produce a unique action game with some RPG elements as opposed to focusing on misleading it's customers with the "deep adult RPG" that simply doesn't exist.

FWIW by adult I mean adult intellectually, not the rather juvenile game that CDPR delivered.

I think player particpation has stabilized It appears to be fairly consistent this past month spiking in the teens and averaging between 8 and 10 take at any given time.

I think once they release the patch which should be any time now, some people believe today even, then we'll certainly see these numbers spike and rise. The question is, whether this massive update fixes enough things, to bring back people.

Now that I'm on an Xbox X, I am quasi tempted to get that, but since it's not the 4k version, i'm not willing to pay full price.

I'd save your money and wait on a deep discount, CP2077 is currently on 20% reduction with GOG. Frankly the game simply isn't worth the full asking price not close. Agree there will be an uptick on the release of the next patch, equally I expect the game to drop back to similar numbers if not less.

Geez that is the biggest patch I've ever seen. It's interesting how they made the cyberpsycho fights not allow tranquilizers or system reset hacks. As a netrunner I thought those were way too easy.

The list is too long... but this one really stood out for me. I like easy... which is why I saved eddy's to buy OP cyberware.

I'm assuming things such as contagion would still eat away at their health. You'd still have to do some work to kill them. With system reset they were dead the moment I got near them.

But the main goal of the cyberpsycho missions are keeping them alive. The tranquilizers makes it easy to complete the missions without killing them.

Oooh right I forgot about that. Now I'm wondering how you'd do that.

Wow, that's one long list, and it shows quite a sad state of affairs. What's odd is that playing on PS4/Xbox One has been reported as extremely buggy/poor but the console fix section appears to be rather small. I'm not sure people playing on the legacy consoles will really have something that's playable even after this patch

Maybe reboot optics, and take them down with gorilla arms since damage has been increased to 20%? idk... any other thoughts?
I haven't played recently but I could swear there were some mods that you could use to make weapons non-lethal also.
