Before my rig got smashed, I played a little bit after installing the 1.2 patch. I bumped, talked, followed, hijacked cars, point gun... the NPC's... to see their were any changes. The one thing that stood out was following the NPC's to the corner of a block... and everyone would stop at the corner, and turn around and walk back... LOL... Anyway... hope it's playable for PS4 owners.
Funny. I have never stalked NPCs. I might start to do it ever game just to understand the NPC mechanics.

DF made is sound like the XSX patch is supposed to also increase the streaming time for assets but wasn't. Though I'll agree the fix the the PS4/Pro is not really great.
Technically there isn't an XSX patch as the console runs the XBO version in back compat mode.

Although the game runs fine on the console, popping objects and disappearing NPCs is evident.

Yeah I was on autopilot, when i wrote XSX I meant XOX. What ever changes were made to the Xbox version of the game didn't seem to improve framerate or frame pacing that much, if I am to understand the DF video.

No wonder cybercuck 2077 is a poor game. I know a guy who wrote quests for The Witcher 3. Even after the game was successful, he didn't get a raise, he earned around 700 euros a month xD
After W3, anyone with a brain quit CDPR. Cybercuck was created by students, overseen by several feminists on the equality team. paradoxically, bugs are the best that has happened to this game. As a result, people missed 95% of the promised content. Fallout 76 was a success compared to Cybercuck.

Yeah the bugs worked in CDPR's favour to some extents as they took the attention off the shallow gameplay, gross misrepresentation of the game, the bait & switch of framing the game as an adult focussed RPG as opposed to the juvenile looter shooter that was released.

CDPR is still referring Cyberpunk 2077 as an RPG LOL what a joke they are becoming...

Finally bought this game at $30. Plays very well on the Series X, and I only seen very minor bugs. The game itself is decent, but I don't see what all the hype was about.

In their recent presentation they highlighted that CP2077 is an RPG with shooter characteristics e.g 1st person perspective.

Hopefully this rule out a 3rd person view in the future like implied by the extensive character customisation and clothes.

Under the surface the future witcher and CP games should be able to use either perspectives as they will be underpinned by the same technology.

Reality is that Cyberpunk 2077 is little more than a mediocre looter/shooter with some very light RPG facets and a good deal of eye candy if you have the right hardware. The underlying technology while interesting is irrelevant if the games fail to entertain or are launched as a broken mess with gross misrepresentation.

Without any doubts Cyberpunk 2077 is a significant step backwards in comparison to the Witcher 3, not even close. CDPR needs to get the fundamentals right first & foremost such as gameplay, storytelling & quality before anything else.

CDPR's own actions & words, endless lies being very apt...
The bugs will be squashed, the core gameplay will likely remain the same being shallow and lacking any replay value. Witcher 3 has twice the active players on steam which speaks volumes.

Good point. It's a shooter with RPG elements than the other way around. I still have my unopened copy for Witcher 3 GTOY that will be played as soon as CDPR release the next gen version. I was hoping that it would be available in H1 2021 but instead it will launch in H2 like most other truly next gen games.

I have lost all interest in Cyberpunk. I will happily play the Witcher 3 when the next gen patch drops, and in the meantime, I have too many other games to play and enjoy to deal with this mess.

Lol, my PS5 didn't have enough free space to download the massive patch.
Is like downloading an entire game LOL. CDPR will fix the major bugs as they are compelled to do so, the rest of the game's issues very unlikely unless CDPR rewrites the game in entirety. Not even tried 1.2, is mostly minor bug fixes, waste of bandwidth will only result in the same shallow experience. I think another member was correct in saying that CDPR lost a lot of talent after Witcher 3 as it's very difficult to believe the same studio produced both games.

IMO Cyberpunk 2077 was simply a jump off point for yet another cash in multilayer hence the shape & style of the game, however CDPR got caught out royally for blatantly lying, misleading customers, investors and deliberately manipulating the so called review process...

Looks like cyberpunk is coming back to the PS4 game store, that's good news for CDPR, but the game has been out for what, 6, 7 months? I'm not sure they'll see any major boost from this. I think from a PR perspective, it was such a stain on CDPR to have blocked that just getting it back there is a win.

Looks like another large (30gig) patch has landed and while I have no first hand experience, the YT below seems to indicate that many active players were hoping for something more significant given that its been 7 weeks since the last update. As I said, I've largely given up on the game, though I may return to it at some point. However with that said, I'm actually shocked at the amount of outstanding bugs, both what this patch addressed and what id didn't. I mean the game was released in December of 2020, and there's still game stopping bugs

With that said, it is still holding steady in player engagement on steam, though it seemed to have dropped out of the top 40 in xbox. Just googling I found it incredibly difficult to find game player statistics for xbox.

Yeah I read the patch notes and it sounded like lots of bug fixes. No gameplay changes that would make me want to replay a different path.

30 GB, christ. How long that would take to download here....

I have decent Internet - but ever since the release of the PS5, PSN seems to have been throttled down to a trickle either by Sony or by my provider.

Going to take a lot more then just bug fixes to get this game on the radar again...

At least we are in 2021 H2 and can look forward to the next gen version of cyberpunk and GTA5.

I will buy an LG CX in September and am excited about watching eye candy on it.

In all honesty, I'm semi-interested in this, but I don't think I'm willing to drop 60 dollars on a game that has been plagued by so many issues. in all honesty, with the amount of outstanding issues, and so far no new content has been released, I have my doubts CDPR will be able to make their self imposed deadlines.

I am definitely interested in seeing what it looks like on the PS5 after the upgrade.

I definitely think it's worth playing. I spent 90+ hours in it. It was without a doubt the buggiest AAA game I've ever played and the UI had some frustrating decisions. With that being said I really enjoyed some of the missions, characters, and environments.

Oh I have it for the PC, but my RTX 2060 struggles, I can get decent frame rates if I turn down a bunch of things. If memory serves me I finished or was near the finish of chapter 1

Didn’t they add DLSS support recently?

DLSS was in it for nvidia cards on release, but even with that, and ray tracing on, I struggled to get out of the 30s/40s frame rates. When I was playing it, ray tracing support was limited to Nvidia - not sure if that's still the case.
