I'm new to D&D 5e but I'm in agreement with @ravenvii for the most part although I can see both sides.

If the Count is engaged with the goblin leader, attack the other goblin using my sword. Otherwise, attack the goblin leader with my sword.

If I miss, Portia (@Moyank24) should be able to sneak attack the same goblin with her bow.
With an "of course" air, you rush the goblin standing to the left of Warhim with your sword.

*** CHECK ***
The goblin was holding a bow, so it's AC is only 12. You have +4, so:

Claus: 2
*** CHECK ***

But the goblin was expecting your swing, and sidestepped. Your sword hit only air.

>>> @Moyank24 what's your move? (Note that despite the above advice, you won't get sneak attack with ranged attacks, since you won't be within five feet of an ally engaged with an enemy).

Ah, but she can. :p
it is the target that has to be within 5 feet of one of us, to afford advantage

Sneak Attack. Once per turn, when you hit a
creature with a Dexterity-based attack (such
as with your shortsword or shortbow) and you
have advantage on the attack roll, you can deal
an extra 1d6 damage to your target. You don’t

need advantage if another enemy of the target
is within 5 feet of it and isn’t incapacitated. You
can’t deal the extra damage, however, if you
have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Portia (@Moyank24) Please sneak attack the goblin I'm fighting. If @ravenvii rules that you can't use your bow, use your sword. The Count will take care of the leader and we don't want the goblin I'm fighting to run.

Of course.

What a pity that our attempts at a more diplomatic approach have failed so ignominiously, which leaves us with little choice but to…….express our disagreement with their approach in a somewhat less………….understated way.

And when wielding swords, javelins, great axes, bows and arrows - and - sigh, - yes indeed - also sorcery - one is rarely accused of subtlety.

update round1

Claus: 12/12, AC 14, left end of the room, attacked Goblin2, greatsword, missed
> Portia: HP 9/9 AC 14, entrance, shortbow

Goblin3 (Warhim): HP 7/7, AC 12, center, fighting with Count, scimitar but no shield [?]
Goblin2 (slave2):HP 7/7, AC 12, left end of the room, fighting with Claus, shortbow
Syllin: HP 8/8, AC 15 (with mage armor), next to Veit behind Count, [how close is she to Warhim?]
Count: HP 12/12 AC 17, center, in front of goblin3, greataxe,

Veit: HP 0/11, AC 18, unconscious next to firepit, behind Count, Death saves: S

corpses:
† Goblin1 (slave1): right end of cave
† Goblin4 (Wartgutter): center
† bugbear (Klarg): center, partially in the firepit
Wolf: center

@ravenvii, plese correct if needed.
two clarifications: did warhim don his shield before he rejected our parlay? if not, donning it during battle would cost an action
how close is Syllin with respect to Warhim?
when combat started i was between Warhim and Veit on the ground, and syllin had just attempted to stabilize him and then talked to Warhim. basically, is she at melee or ranged distance from Warhim, at the moment?

Never fear, Portia is here! I'm happy to jump in and protect you! ;)

Orders:

Sneak attack the goblin using my shortbow. If I can't use the bow, I'll use my sword.

Yes, thank you; as you may have noticed, I have already sought clarification - twice - on this matter from @ravenvii.

I daresay.

But, in the absence of medical supplies or another healer in our ranks, we may yet have cause to miss our charismatic grumbling dwarf with his hidden stash of high grade tobacco.
this is very unlikely. he has his own saves, and we have plenty more chances to stabilize him.

but first things first. we have to wait to see if Portia dispatched of the pesky archer in the corner, then we have to see what the goblins do.
After that it is your turn, Syllin, to have them taste a bit more of your magic (electroshock or iceing, depending on position).
I am next and finally Veit goes, when he can try another saving throw. so far he has 1-S 0-F, which is a good position to be because it gives several attempts (his and ours) at stabilization.
the chances of success are >99.9% (but not 100%)

Electroshock or a spot of icing are both under active consideration, fear not.

And my remarks re Master Frostbeard were in response to Mistress Portia's suggestion that a few - suspiciously - stray arrows might silence his whimpers of pain.

Never fear, Portia is here! I'm happy to jump in and protect you! ;)

Orders:

Sneak attack the goblin using my shortbow. If I can't use the bow, I'll use my sword.

You quickly raise your bow and release an arrow.

*** CHECK ***
The goblin has AC 12 and you have +4, so:

Portia: 15

The damage is 1d6 + 3, plus sneak attack is 1d6, so:

Portia: 1
Portia: 3

7 hp of damage is dealt, and the goblin is dead.
*** CHECK ***

The arrow enters the goblin's mouth just as he is shouting an obscenity at Claus. You couldn't be sure, but you think the goblin died instantly. It remained standing for a moment with its head tilted back, before falling to the ground.

Warhim looks in horror as his only remaining comrade fell so easily. He looks up at Bartholomeus, his scimitar wavering in the air. Suddenly, he turns and runs, as quickly as his small legs could carry him, to the back of the chamber and jumps down the hole that descends into darkness.

>>> Battle over!

Now, that is an interesting turn of events.

And, very well done Portia. Excellent shot.

And Warhim took to his heels and disappeared just exactly where again….?

Down a hole. It looks like we went east then south from the bridge so it might be the hole we couldn't climb in the wolf room.

Say to the Count: You, Portia, and Syllin should immediately head over the bridge to the room where we left the knight. If the hole leads to the wolf room, the goblin may be doubling back to the knight. I'll guard the entrance to this room and protect Veit. See if you can get the knight back to this room.

Oh, bravo! Very well done.

What does Master Frostbeard need to do to be restored to full health?

Lots of rest.

Ah, yes, that is what I had sort of begin to suspect. That waste chute - in the room where the wolves were - that we were unable to clamber up or climb, though the currently incapacitated Master Veit never got the opportunity to test his dwarven ancestral skills in that regard.

Yes, I think a rapid retracing of our steps might be in order to ensure that Sildar Hallwinter is not menaced by a returning goblin with a mind to exact further retribution.

>i think Screech is going to run for the forest as fast as he can.
the worst thing it can happen is that he finds the other goblin and we lose veit's rope.
man, he is never going to shut up about that one...

he has nothing to gain from going back to Sildar, but again, he isn't exactly the sharpest spear in the armory
i suppose i will go back there and bring the knight here.

meanwhile, someone should do an inventory of what is around this cave. Some of this stuff could be valuable.

* I pick up my javelins and head back to where Sildar is.
i go there with my shield ready and the scimitar with the light Veit had put on it (i don't think an hour has passed yet)
If the blade is not lighted anymore, i pick up a torch from Veits' pack and lit it from the firepit, holding that instead of the shield.
If nothing of importance happens, i walk Sildar back here

Yes, it would be an excellent idea to do an inventory of this cave, - there has been so much loose talk which included that ludicrously expressive noun 'loot' - it sounds quite disgusting in Goblindegook, that it would be foolish to overlook a thorough examination of the cave.

Nevertheless, it is quite clear that stuff is stashed somewhere - and, also, I think a quick look in the other cave where Sildar Hallwinter awaits us might not go amiss.
