Yeah, nah. iCloud Keychain works spectacularly well thank you, the endless subscription plague is the worst thing ever.
I’ve used both and currently use only Keychain. It works well, but it is so much more limiting than 1Password. Try something as simple as adding a second domain name that uses the same username and password, it’s almost impossible with keychain.

Of course, it’s free and great for people only in the apple ecosystem, but it’s not exactly the same experience as 1Password, to be fair

Do people really have THAT many passwords?
It’s not even about the number of passwords you have. A password manager, even for 10-20 passwords, allows you to create way more complex passwords than if you try to remember them in your head, and it’s less tempting to reuse a password for different accounts (which you should never do). Only for the extra security, a password manager is worth it, regardless of the number of passwords you have

As a long time user of 1password standalone I decided to subscribe to 1password last year. I have no regrets and the features it offers is worth it in my opinion. I use it also on windows PCs and a recent update added support for windows hello which makes it a lot easier when accessing password all day.
+1 here love 1password

No thank you. Not being threatened of losing access to my passwords (I know, it’s freezing them, but locking out autofill makes the entire software a worthless experience) on a monthly basis has been surprisingly refreshing to my mental health. Glad I switched to Minimalist one time purchase. They added travel mode last update too!

I am using KeePassword database stored in iCloud and you can access it from open source password managers. On iOS its KeePassium, on Windows its KeePass and there is client for linux too. Everyting is free.

Been vey happy with 1Password sharing with family. Allows for secure document storage as well. iCloud password doesn't seem to allow that.

I love 1Password and also installed it on my work computer via browser plugins etc. - it is an absolute life saver and worth every penny - running on Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC - just genius and they are just really improving it each release.

Ive been using 1password for free as a stand alone vault in my icloud for years but I think the time has come to make a call on whether or not to subscribe for the full experience or just switch to keychain for free. I'll most likely be going the keychain route. If it was a one time purchase Id jump on board 1password, but like many others here I really hate the subscription model and absolutely cannot justify paying them in perpetuity for my own personal information

I wish 1Password 8 would of stayed like 1Password 7. Oh well.

It would be cool if they had a one time payment too like $150

Maybe try Sticky Password?
Cloud or WiFi only synchro between devices, autofill, password protected notes for 30$ lifetime

If link not work- pm me I have some in spam :d

As long as I have to store passwords outside of my local network I would not use it even if they paid me.

Currently I will stick with 1PW 7 perpetual license and when this is not longer feasible I will switch to Bitwarden/Vaultwarden.

That why I use Enpass.

I'm still on the one-time purchase version of 1Password. There's no cloud sync but I don't need it, everything is stored locally on my iPhone and I have a backup of my iPhone on my PC ?‍♂.

Well, I have 1,140 items in 1Password. At least 100 work related...

There is another big issue with this upgrade as I read it. It will no longer synchronize to DropBox.

Here is a paragraph from the upgrade email:

"If you are still using iCloud or Dropbox or WLAN Sync, you will need to migrate over your data to use the new release. You can trade in your license for 50% off your first 3 years by launching 1Password 7 and clicking the upgrade link."

For existing clients with stand-alone the offer is for 3 years.

For subscription clients....no deal, we have your money..and, BTW no more DropBox.

I went back to DropBox...I had countless synch probelms with the 1Password service.

I sync 14 devices, so its a big deal.
