You should go to a nearby Apple Store! Since it's a stock model, it should be available on store. My local store has a bunch of the stock models available.
Yeah, no such luck in the UK unfortunately. No stores have any at all.
It sounds like stores in the US started selling the stock models a couple of days after deliveries began arriving. Europe is going to get their first batch the end of next week, so maybe after then, but not holding out hope.
I just cancelled my order and picked up a maxed out 15 MBP at an Apple Store. I hope my cancellation bumps someone up in cue.
I just order a 13" with Touch Bar 3.3Ghz/16/512 yesterday and my ship date from Apple is Dec 23-29.
Thanks a lot! This gives me a bit of hope, that my order of 8. Nov, ordered over a third party retailer, could be delivered this year. My order is a 15", but I think that the shipping dates does not differ that much between them "as long it's a Touchbar version".

Did you check your local Apple Store? I bought this exact model in the store yesterday, may not have to wait until the end of December.

I'm hoping that's a possibility. With a good number of folks canceling their orders to buy models from Best Buy and Apple stores, our odds might be a bit nicer haha
I actually picked up a maxed out 15" from my local Apple Store today.
I did the same. Just out of curiosity, have you noticed the screen flickering when you log in or in any other setting?
I think, realistically, we shouldn't expect any action until we've hit the 4-week mark. For me, that's November 28th. (Ordered October 31st.) That's when I am expecting - well, at least, hoping - to see a charge/authorization on my credit card.
Checked and no maxed out 15" around here, will keep checking, if I see one available I might "upgrade" my order from base BTO to 512GB to the maxed out one.
I read that there are indeed a few making it to stores for purchase. Going to check with my Apple Business Team member to see if one comes in that I can snag it.
That's what I did. I called the local Business Team manager to see what they had in stock and he held one for me.
Really debating on reserving a 2.7/16/512/455 at my local store and going with a 15 inch over the 13 inch I have on order. Even with the 18 month no interest I can get on either order, I'm not sure I can justify the extra $5-600 when I already have a 5k iMac that I could use the heavy lifting for when the MBP is either on my lap or on my desk just doing basic browsing and streaming video.
