Mine says shipment 1 also but that's just because I also ordered a couple of bands also, which are shipping separately (marked "shipment 2"). Doesn't have anything to do with being in the "first shipment" or anything... Just that you have two (or more) separate deliveries coming.

----------

If you have multiple items it breaks things down into multiple shipments.
For instance when I ordered a new MacBook the extra cables I ordered were batched together in a separate box labelled shipment 2.

Lol you beat me to it by seconds! ;-)

When do we begin to ship?

This is my first time pr-ordering and I would like to know from anybody who has pre-ordered before! If your lucky enough to get your product on "launch day or 4/24" how many days prior can you expect to see (Preparing for Shipment)?

Hopefully by this weekend to early next week!

It was 2 days before launch date for me with the iPhone 6. Status changed September 17 to preparing. Got it on the 19th. That was a 1 week wait between preorder and launch though. I've never been involved in a 2 week situation (if there's ever been one). I ordered from Canada if that makes a difference. The bottom line is, nobody knows.

I'm a little late to this game...

Pre Ordered a 42mm Space Gray Sport
Ordered in apple store app at 3:02
Confirmation Email 3:03
Used apple pay off my capital one card
Passbook app shows full charge, capital one doesn't show any pending transactions or holds - and never did

Its been 7 months since we've been through this, when I got my 6+... Very excited to go through all this again with you.

I feel like the forum is about to start blowing up with wild speculations - as I feel a change in the wind - meaning order status changes are about to change and people will start going nuts.

Good luck to all of you, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

I *think* with the 6 there were units already housed in the US for launch day. I'm not sure that's the case with this.

As you said, the gotcha is the 2-week window. That makes any past behavior hard to map.

We will start seeing the process moving on because it's a week out just like with the rMB. They took about a week to get here. By Saturday they had already charged my account. I'm less concerned at this point.

Disappointed with Apple

Let me start off by saying this is my first experience ordering from Apple. This is NOT the first time I've ordered merchandise online. I set my alarm on April 10th at 245am EDT (like so many others). I ordered my Sports Apple Watch at 3am, received a reply at 302am. Initially the order said my delivery date was 24 April. Two minutes later I received a confirmation email that had stretched the delivery date from 24APRIL-08MAY. I've not received any emails from Apple since. I always receive follow up emails through Amazon and L.L. Bean while they're in the process of processing in order. Apple said the order processed for the Apple Watch would be a fantastic experience. I'm sorry to say this couldn't be any further from the truth. So, I sit and wait and like everybody else check my Apple Store App every 15 to 30 minutes. Just like a little kid at Christmas time.

Mines still says 4/24 -5/8 the status has not changed and apple employee said it will ship out this Friday and do one day shipping when will we see preparing for shipment

If they said you're going to receive it between April 24th and May 8th, why are you complaining that you don't have any updates yet on April 17th?

We should know by mid-week next week whether 4/24-5/8 means 4/24 or some other date.

No need to check your app. When something changes they will let you know. Until then, find something fun to do with your time. It's like a long car ride, eventually you get to your destination.

You were promised delivery after 24th of April.
It is 17th of April and you are disappointed for not getting updates?
Updates about what?
"Your watch has moved from Storage Warehouse X to Storage Warehouse Y"?

they haven't gotten to the point of moving to preparing for shipment so what is there to follow up on? You'll receive an email when your order moves to the next step, hopefully in the next few days.

Anyone know if the applewatch is being shipped via UPS or FedEx? I'm like most with a delivery date of 4/24-5/8 ground shipping. Not sure if there was even the option for faster shipping as I would think the watches would be in the states sometime next week and then delivered on the 24th so what would be the benefit of overnight or two day shipping. I did faster shipping with my iPhone 6 and launch and when I called apple to confirm my order and asked about the 16.00 in shipping I paid for two day they said there is no point in having that extra charge so they refunded my money and I still got my phone on launch day

Anybody see this info??

I've not received any emails from Apple since.

An email saying what exactly? "How've you been?"

There's still a whole week until they're due to dispatch/arrive.

The next step will be "Preparing for dispatch" which you won't get emailed about and won't happen until some time next week.

Well since there's not been any status changes yet, what are you expecting emails saying? When it goes from 'Processing Order' to 'Preparing for shipment', which is the next stage, you'll get an email and a notification from the Apple Store App (if you have that enabled).

I don't get all these people repeatedly checking, when the Apple Store App will notify you, and you also get emails....

42mm Silver Sport w/ White Band + AppleCare
4/24 - 5/8 (Confirmation e-mail at 3:04am)

42mm Black Sport Band
4/29 - 5/12 (Confirmation e-mail at 3:32am)

Not sure why I didn't do this all in one order but got a little trigger-happy at 3am :D

I'm also in the same boat as a lot of other users that paid with Apple Pay through the App. I see charges in my Passbook history for the Watch and Band, however both of the pending charges (in the full order amounts) have dropped of my credit card account. Assuming they'll hit once it progresses.

Ordered the white sport 42mm at 12:05 PST. I was instantly charged a pending $1.00 to my Amex.

I was actually quite impressed with this pre-order as it was much easier to get-in via the apple store app. Previous iPhone pre-orders would take much more refreshing.
