My situation is weirding me out. I ordered:

1) 42mm Space Black Stainless Link on April 10th at 3:02am EST with AppleCare+
2) 38mm Space Grey Sport with black band on April 10th at 3:03 EST with AppleCare+
3) a 42mm Green Sport Band Sport on April 20th with AppleCare+

On monday night, the 20th, three holds for $70, 50, 50 respectively showed up on my credit card from Apple Online Store...which means one of three things:

1) I'm getting all three this weekend (because in theory they don't do AppleCare until there's a serial number to attach it to)

2) I'm getting none of them and Apple is just going ahead and charging AppleCare to anyone with an open order (the Green watch wasn't supposed to ship until June)

3) I have no idea

Pretty sure the apple care charges have no correlation to the watch madness...
You're stuck with us in "Processing" hell
Sorry

My two 42mm white Watch Sports have been preparing to ship since Monday while my 42mm SG Watch Sport has been in processing since I ordered it. :( And I actually placed 3 separate orders with the SG Sport being the first of them at :02! The really sad part is that the SG is actually for me and the White for my wife. The third watch was an accidental order that I placed by having my thumb on the fingerprint reader while admiring the watch. Either way, the watch that is actually for me that was ordered first is, of course, the one that is still processing with no movement. Hoping to see all of them ship tomorrow as my iPhone 5 and 6+ shipped the day before release and arrived on release day.

38MM SS BSB just charged!

8:43 am Central Time - Amex just got charged for the 38MM Stainless Steel Black Sport Band. No status update yet on the Apple Online Store. Minnesota here.

Payment Taken UK!

Finally just seen the money taken for my Apple Watch 38MM SG Sport in the UK! Live in hope it will be here Friday!
And is now showing preparing for Dispatch

Hey guys. We all know this is a stressful week, but I would like to expose our situation, which clearly defines there's no pattern for all of this.

We're in 4 friends. Our orders follow:

a) 1 42mm Sport SG, placed at 4:03
b) 1 42mm Sport SG + 1 38mm Sport (White Band), placed at 4:02
c) 2 42mm Sport SG, placed at 4:04
d) 1 42mm SS (Classic Buckle), placed at 4:10

All our shipments were 4/24 - 5/08 on the confirmation mails we got.
All our orders have the exact same shipping address, and we all purchase using the Apple Store App.

On Monday, order a & b were charged and switched to prepare for shipment (all watches). Everything happened first to the order a, which was done 1 minute after order b.

For both order a and b, I've managed to find our tracking numbers using reference on the UPS website. Probably will be shipped on Thursday.

Order c and d have no movement so far, plus they don't have tracking numbers on UPS yet.

There actually IS a pattern, though, and your order is consistent with it.

The pattern is: 42mm SG with a time stamp of XX:01, XX:02, and sometimes XX:03 have shown movement.

Timestamps of XX:04 and later have not.

Source: Check the dedicated thread for SG faces.

I predict, based on my experience with the iPhone 6 pre-order, that watches will begin shipping tomorrow (Thursday) for Friday delivery. This is fun! :D

Well, there is nothing to prove or disprove it.

They aren't all from "early" order times, mine went in at 12:02 pst as did plenty of others who are still processing.

its harder to judge because of all the different models but there are plenty with later order times that have already moved. Maybe it's because those watches are coming hot off the presses from China.

Some watches weren't even available for the launch window when the store opened while others stayed available for hours.

For example the 42mm SS with black sport band seems to be one of the most popular, Apple probably saw this coming and it is one of the watches they could have enough stock of to meet the launch window demand. This is the same model that they use as demos in store as well, so it'd make sense if they've been staging them since before the 10th.

Who knows though, my watch could just be an SS shell in China with a little S1 heart. I'm prepared to not get it Friday, but I will continue to believe that Apple is being apple - the supply chain masters - till then :D

I partially agree with you, but only to the point where I know this is all speculation...
To play devil's advocate why would apple ship what they thought would be popular to destination countries ahead of time? I'm sure its cheaper to store in China where they have all their factories. And the labor for sorting is cheaper too... So why not just wait until you can see where the demand is per region and then you can efficiently ship out the needed quantities to each country.

42MM SS Black Sport Band

Any updates on this version anywhere ? It does not look hopeful

Nothing! I have seen a total of 3 people state their 42MM SSBSB is preparing to ship. I believe everyone (The bulk) Will see progress today or tomorrow (Depending on your location). :apple: is using next day delivery service, so even if its down to the wire, we might be ok

42mm SS BSB is now preparing for despatch at last!! Ordered at 8:03am in the UK!!

I can't post proof I'm afraid but I wouldn't be so cruel as to lie about this. I have been on this ride with you all all of they way!!

I wanna know how I'm supposed to know when to stand up on Friday, if my friggin watch doesn't get there? How will I ever receive a heartbeat from one of my friends who couldn't afford a watch to begin with at 3:10 in the AM?! Waiting for Godot's Watch continues... I hear it may be coming at some point?!

Anyone seen the 42MM black classic buckle watches preparing for shipment? I still haven't been charged and my order is still processing.

Status update;

All our orders now, charged and status has changed to 'Preparing for Shipment' including '42mm Stainless Steel Case with Black Sport Band - UK' . There were just missing SS Black one, now all are ok..

yep, mine is prep for ship.. but I'm in Canada. I also ordered hella late compared to most (830am EST)

Looks like there is a few reports of slight movement in the UK... Which I believe is around the same time frame of the past two days no?
Lets keep the ball rolling - if history repeats itself that means the US will see movement in about 7 hours

trend worthy?

Has anyone in Northern VA received any movement on their Space Gray Black Sport 42mm? I ordered at 0303 and have nothing as of yet.

I'm in Dayton, OH and was charged Monday, 20APR and order changed to "PFS." No shipping notice or status change, yet. But, I'm not too worried as we're very close to 2 large UPS facilities. Ordered 10Apr 302am.

Hmmm, i wouldn't fret.

the warehouse staff are probably packaging items, model by model.

I ordered a SS 42mm Classic Black Band.

Hopefully you see some movement in status as Tonight / Tomorrow progresses.

mine updated at 7pm AEST.

Do you have a tracking number? I got the same one

it might be cheaper to store in China but I'd guess it's far cheaper to move watches via a slower method from China over the course of the past month than it would be to wait and move them all in a matter of days.

It's not like they've just filled containers with random watches that would need to be sorted before they got tagged to go out though, the only labor involved in setting them up today and tomorrow could just be a robot feeding them down a line and slapping labels on them.

They most likely made some conservative estimates on popularity of models and stocked some of those in destination countries.

Apple really has outdone themselves this time, I don't think I've ever wanted someone to take money out of my bank account

Good point... But like I said, can only agree as far as saying good theory
