I live about an hour away, so I'm expecting some kind of update tomorrow. Maybe it will go right to shipped?

I'm hoping so. They shipped my 12w charger from there pretty fast, my charging cables are coming from there also (about a week sooner than I expected), so I'm stI'll hoping we will see our watches sometime Friday. I think they are honestly trying to process as many orders as possible to fulfill Friday delivery times. If it doesn't happen it won't be because they didn't try.

The planes that hopefully contain a bunch of Apple Watch shipments for us U.S. folks are UPS59, UPS63, UPS77, UPS81, UPS99. Earliest ones lands in Alaska at 4:48PM EST. So it'll be the same timing as yesterday. Everyone hold your breath if you haven't been charged yet.

Also, about the planes, let's remember not everything leaving China via UPS/FedEx is Apple related.

Support Profile

HEYOOOOOO MY watch showed up in my support profile just now. It lists it as Watch Standard 42. I ordered the 42 SS CB.

Clarification

Thanks for the further clarification on the map I threw up and didn't really feel like elaborating on. However, as for the shipping lanes? My guess is it's mostly Apple if they're that stacked for drops.

For reference as to history of this: http://techcrunch.com/2014/09/05/apple-dominating-shipping-capacity-out-of-china-with-new-iphones/

Yes. Blocking people is as simple as adding their number/Apple ID to the blocked page in iMessage settings, within the Settings app on the iPhone.

I normally do it through my recent calls list (i.e. marketers or my alumni association), so I was curious how it works for iMessage. Haven't had to block someone on iMessage yet.

They just finalized the decision on how they're going to launch the Apple Watch. Seems to me like they should've made that decision long ago.

How's that? they've never sold a watch before seems like the best way to manage a launch like this is to remain flexible. Not being able to adapt to a situation is a great way to end up irrelevant. If they'd only received a few hundred thousand pre-orders then we'd probably be seeing the watches in stores on Friday.

I'd bet they've been in the lab at night working out every possible outcome. If we sell X watches in launch weekend then we'll be able to provide every store with at least a small number of the majority of models. If all they could provide to stores on launch weekend are the less desired models it would turn a lot of people off immediately.

For the initial launch they should have only sold watches with Sports Bands and let the people who wanted something different order it separately. Maybe ship all SS editions with the classic buckle to differentiate it.

That would have massively reduced the number of SKUs, simplified the logistics of getting them out to customers, and removed a lot of variability caused by band popularity and lead time.

There's nothing wrong with doing that but I'd guess a lot more people would bitch and moan about how apple is greedy and just wants to force you into buying a sport band even if you don't want one.

Are you talking about these planes?

UPS59 B744 Hong Kong Int'l (VHHH / HKG) Anchorage Intl (PANC) Wed 09:28PM HKT Wed 02:50PM AKDT
UPS63 B744 Hong Kong Int'l (VHHH / HKG) Anchorage Intl (PANC) Wed 07:57PM HKT Wed 01:19PM AKDT
UPS77 MD11 Shenzhen Bao'an Int'l (ZGSZ / SZX) Anchorage Intl (PANC) Wed 08:57PM CST Wed 02:39PM AKDT
UPS81 B744 Shanghai Pudong Int'l (ZSPD / PVG) Anchorage Intl (PANC) Wed 09:31PM CST Wed 01:32PM AKDT
UPS99 MD11 Incheon Int'l (RKSI / ICN) Anchorage Intl (PANC) Wed 10:17PM KST Wed 12:48PM AKDT

If so these arrival times are local time in Alaska so it looks like the first plane comes at 2:19 Pacific which will make it 5:19 EST

My bad. Somebody else posted the correct times after that, so I didn't feel the need to be redundant. Thanks for putting up a flight board to cover up my lack of details.
