Can anyone tell me earlier I saw different people post about scheduling a basic appointment at the Apple Store on how to use the apple watch. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to set up that appointment I'm assuming it's different than the try on appt.

Thanks!

RobbRock, go to http://www.apple.com/retail/ and find the store closest to you. Once you locate your store, go to store details, then choose workshops, then look for Apple Watch Basics, it will then let you choose an open appointment slot.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if any watches that are coming over are just for covering the remaining that have been charged but don't have shipping info. I think if you got the email, like me, you're screwed.

I had a long, professional conversation with an Apple rep and her supervisor this morning. The rep was more or less 110% clueless. The supervisor on the other hand was much more in the know about things. We talked a bit about Tim Cook and even Angela.

In the end, all he could provide was a bunch of speculation. He has no idea if more will be charged today and go out for shipment. Had no answers about people with the same model ordering later than others shipping first other than to suggest people are all photoshopping their screen capture. :roll eyes: I was told by both people 'first come first served' multiple times despite the information I provided.

Ive noticed a few people that are still in processing but have no email from last night. These are the people that I expect to get charged and shipped today. If you received that email I think it's damage control and you are out of luck. If I woke up at 8 and ordered I wouldn't care as much - that would be my fault entirely. I guess I'm just not used to ever being let down by Apple before.

I've been spoiled by the Apple too. I've never missed a product on launch day. Call me a loser, but I'm the guy that sets alarms at 230 am on the east coast and am logged into and refreshing the Apple Store on multiple devices every 5 seconds until I can complete an order. This will be the first time that Apple has not come thru.

it's Thursday morning and it's still entirely possible for your watch to ship later today for delivery tomorrow.

Charge Dropped Off

Has anyone been charged for the watch with a shipping notification, but then had the charge drop off of their bank account? I called and confirmed that my order was shipped today.

There was just a story on the Fox Business Network about how there was "good news" for Apple fans. Watches will be shipping earlier than expected! I guess they were referring to the people who had late May/early June orders of the less popular watches. As a recipient of the EOD I was kinda saddened by that report :(

I do find it odd that there are some people stuck in processing that didn't get the email. I really don't know what to make of it. Are you more likely to ship early if you didn't get the email or if you did?

Delivery Dates 4/24-5/8

Wonder if this is legit. In UPS My Choice it let me hold at a Customer Center for pickup a day early! Technically today... 4/23!Image

Just called UPS. No scans since 3:32 AM besides my request to be held at Customer Center. Called that local CC and they said it didn't come on truck, best best will be tomorrow morning first thing when they open at 8:00 AM. Figured! I'll let you know if anything changes though.

Good luck to everyone!

I am the same way.

Still processing here, I got the "email" but weird thing is I was charged a few days ago for my AppleCare plan, but not my Watch...

Count me in as one more 42 SS BSB in California with order confirmed by email 12:05 and status of still "processing items". I also got the EOD.

It's impossible to tell if the EOD means we're out of luck for 4/24 or they're just covering their bases. My guess is it's not either or: some of the EOD folks are going to be happy on Friday and some are not. Any EOD receiver who gets the status "preparing for shipping" is a good sign for all of us.

I've done the "stay up all night pre-order" thing now for as long as I can remember and based on that history Apple could have done one very simple thing to make this launch better: have separate inventory for each watch designated for 4/24 shipping and after that a range for 4/25-5/8. Seems that a lot of the angst here is about the first day. I know I want it then. If there had been inventory for 4/24 specifically we could have made better decisions at time of order and our expectations would have been set properly. The first day is different than all the others.

That said, I'm gonna remain optimistic and hope that Friday works out. I haven't done an exact count but the frequency of 42 SS BSB models reported as shipping on this thread seems low given the popularity of that choice so I expect to see more of those ship today. Just my opinion.

Good luck all.

I guess it sort of makes sense since there isn't really anything to deliver for Apple Care, but that still sucks. Give me warranty on a product I don't have yet.

As I understand it, it is just an extension of the apps you currently have on your phone. What the developers do is make the current app you have compatible with the :apple: Watch. Apple announced that sometime later this year, Watchkit will be extended to support standalone apps.

That's my understanding as well. What I meant by my question was predicated on the fact that I have downloaded apps on my iPhone I haven't otherwise been interested solely to try the extension on my :apple:Watch when I receive it. So, those apps go into a folder until I try the extension on my :apple:Watch and then get culled from the herd if I don't care for them or moved to the corresponding folder if they make the cut.

Just to show y'all how messed up this truly is...

I just went and told guy that I work with about me getting the email of death. He ordered one too at noon central time on the 10th (10 hours after it went on sale!) He did not want his on launch day and just wanted to get a place in line. His estimate is June. So I told him about the email and that I more than likely wouldn't be getting it tomorrow so he decided to check his. GUESS WHAT! His is PREPARING FOR "F"ING SHIPMENT! We did order different models but if he can order one and get a June estimate and get it on launch then why can't they fulfill the ones with the 1st wave range!?!?! I wasn't pissed but now I am a bit that I am seeing this first hand with him getting one on launch day!

Anyone from Oklahoma have a shipment coming from APPLE LO35 NPI RESI
MOUNT JULIET, TN, US? If so, what is your shipping status?

This is true, it happened with my iPhone 5 and 6+. But I never received an email at 11 at night with a delivery date range on any other Apple product either. That email is what crushed my hope.

I would be pissed as well!

Delivery Dates 4/24-5/8, still processing the day before

I have not given up hope that my watch orders will ship today, but I wanted to get an idea of who was still waiting with me.

If you were given a an expected delivery date of 4/24-5/8 and your order is still listed as "processing" then post the following details: Your model(s), time of order confirmation email and whether or not you received an email from Apple confirming your window.

If your order changed from processing on Thursday 4/23, then your same details would also be welcomed.

When I brought this up on the phone about my model Apple told me the 42mm SS black classic buckle has been one of the most popular models. I haven't seen anywhere near as many people posting they ordered those as they have other configurations so I really wanted to call her on it.

I feel your pain, though. Someone yesterday posted that they were getting my config up in Canada and they ordered several hours after I did.

Folks,

I don't think watches are allocated regionally, I think it's by model/collection. I live in Nashville (very close to Mt. Juliet) and have my 38mmSS BSB prepping for shipment, but it's arriving from Rialto, NOT Tennessee.
