I ordered the 38 mm SG...no "email of doom" no change in status. No idea what to make of it.

Not really. One is for my wife for Mother's Day and the other I ordered accidentally by having my finger on the ID scanner at the wrong moment so I'm selling or returning it. That leaves me with no watch to open and play with until my SG gets here.
Did any of them receive the EOD ? If they did and still had their status change there might be hope
Just spoke with Apple about my order on chat and they do admit that only people in "Processing" got the email of death. They just want to keep us updated he said. He said it is still possible it could charge and ship today but I could tell that he wasn't very confident in that. To all who received the email, including myself I feel your pain. To all of you ace holes who are getting the watch tomorrow kiss my ace.
This email basically says it is still possible to get it on launch day but it probably isn't going to happen for you. I will now print the email and wear it like a scarlet letter. It is Apple's way of saying I didn't make the cut. lol

I was wondering the same thing....but didn't want to go there since I didn't get the email. My guess is those with the email are special
Yeah, I got a bad feeling in my gut as soon as I saw the email, especially since a few hours later I received shipping emails on my other two orders.
Orlando here, my order moved to Shipped overnight tonight and I got the email from Apple around 5AM.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if any watches that are coming over are just for covering the remaining that have been charged but don't have shipping info. I think if you got the email, like me, you're screwed.
I had a long, professional conversation with an Apple rep and her supervisor this morning. The rep was more or less 110% clueless. The supervisor on the other hand was much more in the know about things. We talked a bit about Tim Cook and even Angela.
In the end, all he could provide was a bunch of speculation. He has no idea if more will be charged today and go out for shipment. Had no answers about people with the same model ordering later than others shipping first other than to suggest people are all photoshopping their screen capture. :roll eyes: I was told by both people 'first come first served' multiple times despite the information I provided.
Ive noticed a few people that are still in processing but have no email from last night. These are the people that I expect to get charged and shipped today. If you received that email I think it's damage control and you are out of luck. If I woke up at 8 and ordered I wouldn't care as much - that would be my fault entirely. I guess I'm just not used to ever being let down by Apple before.

I have to agree with you. I placed 3 orders. The two orders that were preparing to ship received shipping emails last night. The one that is still processing received the email of death. So it was just an email from Apple trying to let us down gently-their own subtle way of telling us to stop refreshing the order page and jamming up their website.

Can anyone tell me earlier I saw different people post about scheduling a basic appointment at the Apple Store on how to use the apple watch. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to set up that appointment I'm assuming it's different than the try on appt.

I would say the same thing about no email, still processing might get charged today. But there has been almost no movement on the watch I ordered so my hopes for magically being charged today and getting my watch tomorrow are mighty low.
On another note: my boss' junk "smart watch" she ordered through my amazon prime will be here tomorrow. Maybe I can pretend that is my apple watch
UPS Hold for Pickup
Just curious, for those of you that have been able to set your UPS delivery to "hold for pickup", is your tracking showing a status other than "Order Processed: Ready for UPS"?
I only see the option to have it delivered to a UPS store which would push delivery to Monday. I called UPS and they said the package is not yet in their system and I should call back once the package is scanned.

I am in Seattle. I have never got an email from apple nor does my support profile get updated. The order still shows prepared for shipping. I was able to track my package on ups last night though. The site says to be delivered by 4/24/15 at 3 pm. Maybe it is typical for PNW here.
