That's what I've been saying this whole time. Their customer service is a joke, they'll say whatever to stop you from asking questions. They have no intentions of making anything right. By far the worst release in Apple history based on a year of hype, multiple keynotes and completely missing the release date to a point they pulled references of the 24 off their website.
Please review 9to5 website for info on apple releasing watches to boutiques.
We were all promised 24/4 -8/5 and I am not disputing that but we all pre ordered and to see others that ordered after U.S. Receive watches befor us is unacceptable. What's the purpose of pre order time stamp? Also, apple knew that there were supply shortages long ago but yet they inform us a day before launch of these shortages? It is BS because Apple knew the situation prior to yesterday yet felt the need to have us all hold on to hope of launch delivery.
Don't hold your breath on anything arriving tomorrow. Glad to see someone in the Tampa area is in the same boat i'm in. I'm really pissed about this due to the fact they let down a lot of LOYAL customers.

At the end of the day, it's just a watch. That said (as somebody who received the EOD and is still processing), it'd be nice for Apple to explain why certain models or groups of folks may be delayed in receiving theirs, when 2nd or even 3rd wave folks are getting theirs. I'm sure Apple isn't doing this for kicks. My perception is that SS models are in more limited supply, which doesn't surprise me.
Apple obviously doesn't have to. But the people populating this board are the type of passionate consumers Apple should be cultivating (and the folks willing to stay/get up in the middle of the night to pre-order). For that reason, this entire episode is more than "just a watch."
Be nice if mine made it Friday, but I'm pretty doubtful at this point....
So I'm still at preparing for shipment but received a tracking number from UPS and already requested to pick it up at the hub. Generally how long does it take for Apple to change the status to shipped?
The rep that was claiming that it was the most popular is full of *****. Anyone who got the 04/24-05/08 window for shipping were processed as the first wave of in stock items. Anyone who got a date after that was a back order. The ones that are getting shipments early are more than likely cancellations from other orders. It still doesn't justify how they are processing these orders. Just weird from the very beginning.
The 42 SS BSB slipped 3 minutes into the ordering process. After I was done with my order, I went a checked it at 12:05 and it showed May delivery.
I was referring to the 42mm black classic buckle not slipping until an hour in - that's the model that the poster said the Apple rep told him was one of the most popular.

I was simply asking for a definitive answer on the status of my watch....for example is it sitting in warehouse or on production line in China. This lady says they are not made in China but the US rather. Take a look.

Not only that, but as someone else said, that config was one of the last to slip past the 4/24-5/8 window. I watched it as I was curious to see what was immediately available and what was selling out fast.
