I did integrate a cable channel underneath for the phone charging cable. My preference was sideways. Plus I didn't want to try to create my own dock port on the phone side. To each their own.

My dock is solely for charging and I felt it was less likely to get knocked around on its side.

OKay, so this is more like a nightstand type dock than a desk dock?

This is amazing

I guess we'll know when people's watch start to ship...it'd be a billion threads from each individual person saying their watch shipped. :(

oh i like this stand.

Yes. I plan on putting this on my nightstand. It's a nice place for my devices to rest while I rest ;)

See I want my phone to dock so I can use it while I get work done, so I have the HiRise for iPhone, but I want my watch to be my bedside alarm of a morning. This way, both my docks match.

That's the Nomad Dock and the Nomad Plus. I like the idea of the plus but just think its a bit too expensive for what it is. What I wanna see is a portable charger that lets the watch clasp around it so that it stays on in your bag. That would be clutch af.

okay ill work on that.

Actually I would buy one too. What kind of price are you thinking, metacove?

I was thinking around $40 - $60 in two options. I would make a total of about 10. I'm not sure I want to get into mass producing these.

Natural - Solid Oak. Smooth sanded and ready to stain / paint yourself - $40.

Cherry Finish - Stained and Satin Polyurethaned (3 coats each) - $60.

I could make a few docks this week but I wouldn't ship them until I guarantee the fit of the charging puck. I know the diameter is very close to 27.4mm but I am not certain of the depth. I think the depth is around 6.5mm.

oh that sucks but judging by there tags there languages were kinda chinese or Japanese also.

if you chance to look at it #applewatch on instagram youll see and it pretty wrapped in round disc and that charging puck sits flat in middle. some people might just use that as a dock

So it appears that all the people posting their apple watch chargers are all in Asia. One instagram photo I saw had much easier delivery dates of the watch chargers that the ones we are getting in the US? Anyone have any insight to why?

Could you do it without the iPhone portion?

I was able to lookup *something* on the fedex site. To me, that's a good sign I'm going receive my preorder soon...

I ordered during the pre-order rush, received a confirmation email for my 42 MM Stainless + black sport band dated 3:08 AM EST, showing 4/24-5/8 delivery.

Apple store site + App still showing that timeframe.

Entered my (a) order number, (b) *full* zip copied from my apple store order [really how all the info entered here would be as entered in via the Apple store], and (c) the phone number as formatted in the order status and I was able to see something w/ in status at fedex. Very promising.

I believe this is real because:

(1) I have just changed numbers and this is definitely the first order with Fedex since that change (that # not my previous phone number made the fedex backend happy)

(2) I haven't ordered something for shipment via the Apple store, really ever since my I moved - so there is a very slim chance the apple store order number formatting would snag a record.

Of course, taking with a grain of salt but shipping communication would not happen if there wasn't some *expected* confirmed orders that have cleared payment, cleared stock + logistics and are all ready to go (with a status of in transit!) really at the shipper's behest...

Unfortunately this was already discussed earlier in the thread...
FedEx glitch

Well, that's good, but we need a link for the FedEx tracking that allows all those entries in lieu of a tracking number. I don't see it anywhere on the site.
