Yeah it's clear why they did it from a manufacturing standpoint. Also, it makes it more of an incentive to just buy a new color from apple instead of going through the hassle of swapping and figuring out what size to swap etc.. During my time working for Apple, making it easier for the customer was always priority, but the customer obviously pays for that. Sometimes by force..

Funny that, I'm working on getting in with them

No. My billing address was wrong from the start and I haven't been able to change it. I had to call to change, got an email that said it had been, but it still shows as old. Hopefully this goes through!

Happened to me, too, and I can confirm. I wish they would change it on the website so I can stop biting my nails in fear that it just won't agree with my bank account billing info.

Find it interesting that my order won't let me edit my billing info (not that I need to, just wanted to check). Possibly a sign that they're working through orders? :)

Same here. Fun!

I'm still skeptical that they will be trackable from China. I appreciate that shipping from China can be as quick as 2-3 days, but from my previous experience with Apple launches I would have expected the UK orders to have started to show "Preparing for dispatch" by now. I think they have been sent in bulk to the UK and we will not see "Preparing for shipment" until Wednesday or even Thursday (assuming delivery on Friday).

I tracked my iPhone 6 from China.....

Delivery Dates 4/24-5/8

The Apple Store app is finally showing all my orders including the watch order. Previously it just said "no new orders placed recently" or something. Probably nothing but this just gives me some peace of mind.

Heyy good luck to you! I worked at home for AppleCare support. Really fun job, they let you write your schedule as long as it's within a certain amount of hours. The iPhone 6/6+ launch was crazy. We were told nothing with regards to the way the Apple ships or when it would change status. ALL APPLE ADVISORS KNOW JUST AS MUCH IF NOT LESS THAN US about when changes in order status will happen. The only people who would know more would be the individuals directly involved with shipping. Don't trust what the advisors tell you over the phone about this stuff because I can tell you from experience, they have no more of a clue than the customer does.

I've ordered a glass screen protector from eBay. Just got a dispatch message from them.....

25-35 days to the UK. Coming from Hong Kong.

My fault I didn't check the postage details.

Sod waiting 25-35 days for my actual watch to ship!

Anyone else's order say processing? My shipment dates haven't changed but both my watch order and separate bands order both say processing. I don't remember if they have always said that or if they recently changed.

In the Uk and a majority of Europe, orders become trackable once they leave the Cork distribution centre in Ireland and not when they leave the factory in China

You want the status to change to "Preparing for Shipment" and then "Shipped"

Sorry, I'm not saying Apple orders are never trackable from China - I have done just that with several orders (iPhone 5S and 27" iMac most recently). It is just that if the UK are orders ARE being dispatched (and trackable) from China, I would have expected them to have moved to "Preparing for dispatch" by now.

This looks just like the iPhone 4S launch. We are all waiting for the phones to dispatch from China but they eventually dispatched from a UK hub. They went to Preparing for dispatch on the Wednesday, dispatched on Thursday and were delivered on Friday.

I would like to be proved wrong (as I enjoy all the plane tracking threads ), but I think "shipping from China" is now getting to be the least plausible scenario.

Not necessarily. If the order is coming direct from China ( like both my iPhone 6 and Mac Mini did) they can be tracked from China.

I think all Apple orders are shipped into a distribution centre run by a company in the UK called Synchreon.

From there, the respective couriers pick up and deliver.

My iPhone went from preparing to ship on Monday night to shipped Tuesday. With the time difference, it was in my hands by 10.30 the Friday morning.

Once your order gets and 82 number you can track it via their website using the 82 bridge number and your W number

https://seal.syncreon.com/synview-o...ESSIONID=B3DBDAC8-ACF8-D7B3-13F7-BC46D2B061E0

If they are on a direct UPS flight they go direct to the UPS sorting. And you get the 1Z tracking

I don't get the part with the 82 number... Could you explain this please?

In the UK here. Order confirmation received at 8:01am for my SS 42mm Milanese Loop but still no charge to my debit card. Available balance still the same!

Anyone seeing any movement?

Just adding my data point.
Ordered a 42" black classic buckle from the Aust store as it was the only one available with a 4/24-5/8 shipping date about 10mins after the launch due to the web store being unavailable at the start.
Saw a charge on my ANZ visa on day 1 but that has since disappeared - no charges at all.
Fingers crossed that delivery starts soon as I am in Singapore and am getting this sent to mum in Perth as she is flying over on May 4.

No they don't, you can track them as soon as they ship. Only some CTO stuff is shipped from Cork.

And UK residents don't have a full charge placed on the card until the item hits Europe. Until then its just a hold.
