Arghhhhhh

Dec 12th order... Still processing. I can't take it anymore, I know others have been waiting longer, and I am being a bit ridiculous.

Every time I use multiple Adobe programs and my computer slows to a snails pace I am reminded of just how badly I need this new iMac. :( My PC's death rattle is really getting concerning, I just hope my iMac gets here before my PC goes to computer heaven...

Finally shipped.

BTO ordered on November 30 but payed with bank transfer, so the order was confirmed on December 4 — anyway it says "ordered on November 30" on Apple website, so I don't know which date Apple considered for the process.

Changed to Preparing for shipment on December 25 but on December 28 it changed back to Processing. On December 29 it changed again to Preparing for shipment.

Finally today — December 31 — it's been shipped and it will be delivered in Verona, Italy on January 4.

CAN'T WAIT!

For those of us in Order Processing limbo, how many times a day do you check the order status?

I have been in bed with a bad cold/respiratory infection for four days now...I must check that page a hundred times a day... Like watching water boil...

Probably 5-10 times per day here. Apparently, it isn't helping to get our orders processed faster :)

Jeeze. Let's just say if I got a dime every time I checked my order status I'd have a nice down payment for the iMac. :) I check several dozen times a day.

Delivered! Updating from the machine now.

Ordered 12/6, NYC, USA. Shipped on 12/28.

That was a LONG wait, but SO WORTH IT. It's everything I hoped for, and WAY WAY WAY more. It's about a universe away from my 2008 white MacBook.

Guys, this has been a blast, but I'm out for now :) I'll keep an eye out on the spreadsheet and keep maintenance on that, but otherwise, if you want to reach me - PM. Might do a review later :)

For those waiting - hope it's a short wait, and it'll definitely[/] be worth it. Peace!

Wow!

order 30.11 still processing i7 , 680mx :(
OMG! I'm feeling for you... I ordered on Dec. 8.
I go back and forth between checking the Mac Order status page, and just ignoring the whole d*mn thing... but I hope you've contacted Apple Customer Service? Where are you located? Pay by Bank Draft??
Good Luck!

That's great news! Congratulations! I am very happy for you. Would it be possible for you to post some pics? Also, how is the performance general wise?

The only logic I can see is that US orders are privileged.
Ordered on 12/06/ andl nothing happens....
I had est. Date: 1st week 2013, today a callcenter guy told me that it'll be delivered by 01/11...

Glad you got yours, and thanks for the spreadsheet! It's been great to track it and see the activity. It seems like it ground to a halt since Friday, so I'm hoping a bunch of us get some good news later today.

Thanks for the spreadsheet

The spreadsheet has been a great help in tracking and "guestimating" status change. It's been fun!

The performance in general is FLYING, and that's without the fusion drive. I might run an SSD via USB3/Thunderbolt down the road.

Windows 7 installed in 10 minutes. The trackpad is wonderful, though I bought a mouse to supplement it. Super intuitive. I think I'll only use the mouse for gaming.

My first thought when I got it? I was always sure that Apple would be fine past Steve Jobs, but the iMac is such a work of art (initially designed under his leadership,) and is so perfect in every detail, I wonder if they'll make something like this without him around. Jobs was known for his uncompromising perfectionism. Even typing on this keyboard is heaven. I hope Tim Cook is a hardass on them, if that's what it takes to make products this amazing.

Quite frankly, I don't think my photo does the Mac justice. If you browse through this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1499148/ you can find some pictures there.

But yes, here's one for proof :)
