Even if they are.....UPS, FedEx, and Apple's sales and dispatch sites will not be updated now until the 4th.....I'm hoping mine will change then...Now ready for it...

These are very impressive details. How did you get them?
I'm in the UK, my order went to Shipping yesterday, the only detail i can find is the name of the carrier :
Kuhne & Nagel Spedition s.a r.l.
Is this the same as yours? If so it is highly likely they are on the same plane.

My tracking shows the same thing. When I called, FedEx said the plane had mechanical issues. We have different ship dates. So not sure if that's an accurate response.
Just be glad it landed safely.... Or the Japanese fish would have never seen a mac so slim at the bottom of the ocean.
in 2008 I ordered a BTO Mac Pro 2008 and on the tracker it said consignment delivered and signed yet i had not received it. I was about to puke and then it turned up. Anyway, moral of the story, carriers can lie about there whereabouts so don't be too concerned unless another week passes then start shaking gates.
Yes you are right. Its pathetic really. Problem is Apple over the last 5 years has become a consumer product to all the masses. The days of individuality and mainly a professional following are long gone. Next comes the great fall from height like Microsoft.
I just call fedex to know what happend with my imac... (Last scan saturday morning at 3am transit from Memphis)
The first message said that january 1th no pickup or delivery will be made.... Sad... Finally i will receive it in the exact date fedex said... Not a day before

They can't even really deliver ipads and iphones timely. I guess from their perspective it's a nice problem to have, but think of how many more sales they would have if they could just deliver products in stock and on time.

If your timings are on I'm pretty convinced we will be happy bunnies, they can't take 7 days to drive form the airport to my house!!

ok guys, just an update for everybody, i just posted this already in the wrong thread so please forgive me if you see it somewhere else...anyway i ordered dec5, 3.4i7, 8gb, 768ssd, 680, i was told by the apple people that the money would not get taken out of my account until my order was preparing for shipping..so up until this point its been "processing" and no money has been taken out, this morning i woke up and was going over my bank statements, and the full amount just got taken out for my imac with jan 3 next to it even though today is only the first? I checked online and my order still just says processing? anyone have any idea whats up with all this? maybe it wont switch over until the 3rd? idk thats the only thing i can think...really dont feel like calling apple, their incompetance has been really getting to me over the last few calls with them

I would expect that they are just about ready to ship you iMac.
I ordered on the 3rd and it shipped on Friday night UK time. I wouldn't take the fact they charged you as a sign it is shipping soon, I would take the fact that others in your time frame are next in line to be shipped this week/early next week.
Calling Apple is pointless - they will tell you it will ship when its ready.

sounds about right, yup im fed up with apple people, all they know how to do there is read off a script, its so annoying
Apple stated from the start that these iMac's would be in short supply. Unless they missed your delivery date, lets all show a little patience.
I want my new iMac as much as anyone but they haven't done anything wrong yet. I ordered it on 12/13 with a Delivery of "January." Hopefully I will get it in early January vs late.

again i cant speak for everyone else, but im not saying they did anything wrong, buuuut i think i caaaan speak for everyone else when i say that were all starting to get a little pissed when someone orders 2 weeks after we did with the same configuration and they already have their iMac....thats why were all starting to get annoyed...if they told me we wouldnt get them til july 2013, i would of been completely fine with that...its not the wait its the lack of consistency thats starting to get annoying
Well if that had happened to me yes I would be frustrated. If I started to hear that orders placed say Dec 20th were being delivered I'd be pissed for sure. Hopefully they do there best to get them out in order, but I'm sure there are real manufacturing reasons behind it. Different manufacturing locations, speed of assembly lines, part shortages in plants, maybe even high levels of panel problems from a particular manufacturer.
